What the hell? Whyyyy“?

Why Starbury, and why no good offers? There's gotta be some GM out there, somewhere, who'd want Kidd. I mean...Come oooooon.

Why would Thorn even accept a call from a 212 area code?

With the Lakers and Suns making big deals...and the Spurs still being the Spurs, it might make the Mavs make a move to counter the recent changes.

He should just answer and say "Is this about David Lee?" and if they say no, then just hang up.

Thorn is asking for a lot back. I mean 2 former superstars basically at the lowest point of their careers were just traded for each other. Another star was basically unloaded to save money. An expiring deal and a few young pieces? The Portland 3 way was probably the best Thorn was going to get Outlaw, Jack, picks and cash. It's better than the bounty Memphis got. Right now Thorn doesn't feel the pressure to deal Kidd....rightfully so. His value will go up in the offseason, more teams will make an attempt to get him. Unless a team really gets desperate, I don't see Kidd being moved this season.

Wow, now that would be extreme desperation on Cuban's part. Parting with probably 4 of his top 7 rotation guys....for Kidd. Can't see it happening. Terry has a long term deal, can't to Memphis picking that up after unloading Gasol.

Strawberry is an expiring right? If so, I'd take him and their first for Kidd if we could tbh. we probably wouldn't get anyone back better than a likely top 5 pick, maybe the 3 way, but I don't believe that Portland was willing to do that.

it only takes one team. Memphis claims that they were getting crappy offers for Gasol, too, until the Lakers stepped it up by offering the picks. What we don't know is whether Rod would hold out for More than a Dorrel Wright--two firsts type deal.

Remember, we dealt three firsts for an uninterested Vince Carter at the low point of his value. We should at least be able to get that for Kidd.

Memphis got basically 1 pick. In 2010 the Lakers gave their 1st, which will probably be near the end of the 1st, and got back Memphis' 2nd, which will probably be near the top of the 2nd.

If the Knicks offered Marbury with unprotected picks for three years, I'd take it. Marbury is gone in a year as will Kidd. Knicks are always in bottom ten of NBA and will stay that way for those three years.
