Oh? And you think CLINTON would have been better? You do realize that she wanted a NFZ over Syria, right? Oh yeah, I'm sure Russia would have LOVED that!

Whereas, not only does Trump want to work with Russia, but he's said nothing about any kind of ground war in the Middle East. Which is great, because it's the last thing that this country needs: another war with the Middle East.

How about people calm the fuck down and give the guy a chance? Forgive me for thinking that America is capable of that.

He might drop his fork tomorrow during breakfast. Or, as some people on here would claim "OMFG HEAD TO THE BUNKER, THE MISSILES ARE COMING!"

Donald Trump would deploy up to 30,000 American soldiers in the Middle East to defeat the Islamic State, he said at Thursday night’s debate.

Trump was answering a question about comments from General Lloyd Austin III, the head of U.S. Central Command who said more troops on the ground would be needed to defeat ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

“We really have no choice, we have to knock out ISIS,” Trump said. “I would listen to the generals, but I’m hearing numbers of 20,000-30,000.”

He gave that guestimate during a debate, without any solid intel in front of him. I think, once he has solid intel in front of him from briefings and talks with his Chiefs Of Staff, he'll find another way.

A more solid solution would be to completely isolate the region and let ISIS starve, run out of ammunition, and die of thirst. That can be accomplished for far less loss of human life than a conventional ground war. Not to mention tax payer money.

As opposed to what? Dropping bombs and risking civilian casualties from flying bullets?

There is no way not to get our hands dirty in this. Period. The only question becomes: how do I get my hands dusty, as opposed to covered in mud and filth?

I read BBC daily, mostly for amusement as they don't approach news in a very serious manner.

And this is exactly the kind of language they used in deriding Bush for 8 years.
