You nailed it Dis. I just have a feeling about this NYR team that I have not had in a while, almost seem destined for this to be the moment.

The storylines are almost too compelling for this to not be our year.
 
Just be careful with that feeling of destiny. That is all well and good, but it doesn't mean much if we don't get it done on the ice.

And couldn't the Kings say the same thing? Destiny winning 3 game 7's on the road. Destiny coming back from 3-0 down. Destiny winning game 7 at Chicago after blowing a 3-1 lead.

So I am not saying we won't win, but I wouldn't use destiny as a reason. The Kings could say the same thing really.

I use destiny because that's what I think. In all reality, the Kings were kinda supposed to get here, we weren't.

Of course we have to play the game on the ice and not in our hearts, but we have all played in games in which the better team didn't win, they lost, and the team that wanted it more won. Feels that way to me...

I'm not going to hedge my bet here, I've only seen them in the finals twice in my 40 years watching them, and in '79 I was only ten. We will win!!

Amen vr. All I am saying is Kings have destiny also. Winning all those road game 7's. Coming back from 3-0 down. They have some good mojo also.

I expect we will play really well, which is all we can ask for. We'll see if that is good enough.
 
Chuck, seems to me that your trying to play both sides of the fence. So if the Rangers win, you can say what an upset and if LA wins, you can say I told you so. Enough already. Pick a team to win and stick with it.
 
Actually papa, I don't really care enough to do that on a message board...LOL. I don't need to say I told you so. Not really my style. I let other people worry about who said what, or who predicted what, or who jumped ship, or who stayed loyal. I don't get caught up in that stuff, don't care to. To each their own.

I am not making a pick. I am simply saying the Kings are very good. We need to play really well to beat them. And I FULLY expect us to play really well. From there the chips will fall where they may.

That simple to me.
 
7 of 10 ESPN pickers picked the Kings.

Burnside and Kavanagh in 5. LeBrun Kings in 7. Melrose Kings in 6.

Cohn and Strang have us in 7. Levy has us in 6.
 
31 &71. Too bad ESPN deleted the boards. You two choads are hilarious. Since 2005-2006 when I began posting I never picked the Rangers to lose a series, especially a SCF. You idiots pick them to lose like you're fucking clairvoyants.

Who cares what they pick. On Paper I don't see the Kings as being a better team. The Rngers are a deeper team and their defense is much better
 
ESPN people like Burnside has been spewing bullshit for as long as I can remember. Melrose is a tool who got canned by TB because he was playing Stamkos on the 4th line. ESPN is a joke

lol, funny how you go from bashing this team mercilessly after every loss for years to suddenly they now being a deeper and better defensive team than the Kings, who won the Cup just 2yrs ago. What the bandwagon will do.
 
The Kings were close to going to NJ for a game 7 in that series and win 2 games in OT. Listen we all bash this team at one point of another. But this is the SCF. Teres nothing worse than making it this far and losing.

Yeah Kings #1 in NHL in regular season in GAA but their D sucks. LOL

Trust me, I am not too concerned about how you or anyone chooses to be a fan. I have more important things to worry about. I don't need to find posts from months ago and bump them to try and prove points.

BTW...it is the SCF and we are bickering in here. I don't get it. WHO CARES what another board member predicts or says. Let's focus on the team and trying to win the Cup. All the rest of the stuff is BS really.

If someone picks the Kings to win, good for them. Doesn't mean they aren't a Ranger fan, just means they think the Kings will win the series. All good.

should be a brutal series, some people saying the kings will walk away with it dont understand the electricity in the city right now. new york loves the rangers and the garden is going to be a madhouse.

From reading the hockey internet sites and sports pages
across North America, might as well just give the Cup
to the Kings and let's call it a day. Many state the
Rangers are not deserving......than what or who?
I just love upsets! And sports is the one arena
where upsets usually occur. Enjoy the games.
This is rarified air for many Ranger fans. Take it in
and the ride will be a fun one.
 
Henrik only has to stand on his head for 4 not 7 games. That being said the Creme de Cacoa is ready as are the blood pressure pills. Only thing I'm waiting for is either Chuck's guarantee or how many goals the rangers need to score before the game is over. LOL
