A person with knowledge of the situation said the Knicks have "a standing offer" with the Miami Heat that would involve sending Stephon Marbury for forward Shawn Marion.

The Heat have thus far declined the offer.

The Heat have Quinn, Chalmers, and Livingston, I don't think they need another PG, at least not in exchange for Marion, although I bet Marion would love to play for D'Antoni again.

No reason for the Heat to do this trade. If they want to dump salary, Marion's contract expires at the end of this year anyway.

Pointless trade. The Heat don't need another PG. If anything, Curry would probably be a better idea. I realize he sucks and all...but at least he fills a need, because the Heat are really, REALLY small and very thin at both big man spots.

Has anyone's value around the league fallen off more than Shawn Marion?

And Curry doesn't rebound or play D, therefore the Heat will continue to be really small and very thin on the frontline. With that said, how about Lee/Curry/Rose for Shawn Marion? It works salary-wise.

On another note, what's been going on with Marion lately? He used to be a 20/10, 2 blocks guy for years.

anything ever happen with this...is it still being talked about...i would like marion on our team
