Knicks looking at James Jones and Steve Blake

Both of these moves are solid for us. With James Jones, we get a good shooter, and from what I've heard a very good defender. He's also young at only age 25, too. We're also after Steve Blake who is a good defender and pure point guard. He'll be the perfect player to play along Marbury because of this. Hopefully these moves can go down for us.

Aren't the Lakers eyeing for a replacement point guard like Blake too? Well, if the Knicks were able to grab Blake or Jones, this would be a good move to bring someone in to back Starbury up or backup PG.

Hmm...I dont know. How does Isiah plan on getting these guys? We dont have anything anybody wants. And we wouldnt want another "overpaid shooter" on our hands and that seems to be how Isiah gets players he overpays them. And with the way things are looking right now giving over a pick could be a fatal mistake since there's a pretty good chance the Knicks wont make the playoffs next year. I dont see any of these moves happening unless of course Isiah is fooled once again and hands over most of our young talent and all of our expiring contracts(again).


Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired.

Even if the Knicks acquired Jones wouldnt it create even more of a logjam at SF with Richardson, Thomas, and Ariza already there? Jones can play SG but he's a better suited SF.

You're right but it doesnt matter now. Phoenix has just pulled off a sign and trade for him so he's not coming to New York. Not a big deal though.


Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired.

Isiah back to his old idiotic ways again. Why would get Steve Blake if you already have Nate Robinson?

Nate's ready to contribute right now. He's proven that he is going to be the pure pg that New York needs. So what does Isiah do? Tries to trade for ANOTHER pg that's only going to cut into your talented rookie's minutes.

Just when you give Isiah credit for making some moves, he "overdoes" it.

I think it was Larry's idea. I mean, Blake would probably play about the same amount of time as Nate. But realize that Larry really doesn't play rookies all that much, he prefers to work with them out of games. Larry probably won't make much of an excpetion in this first year as a coach. Blake is a solid back-up who could really help Nate out. I'm not a huge fan of the move, but I'm not about to rip it.

On a more serious note, Isiah Thomas did nothing but accumulate $250 million in salaries over the past 3 years, and I think he should be fired.
