Probably Asik. I don't like either's attitude, but I don't trust Chandler to play the amount and duration that he'd need to to make up for the amount of players we have to send out just to make salaries match. And maybe Asik can snap out of his displeasure with being stuck behind Howard and not being able to play the 4.

In all honesty, I'm not horrified by the troika of Freeland/Leonard/Robinson backing up our bigs.

I agree. I like the combination of Freeland and Robinson, but I cringe every time I see Leonard on the defensive side of the floor.

I'll trust our genius gm. I mean I hate Chandler and I love our chemistry but there is no denying he can defend and could probably be Lopez plus.

Blazers had great chemistry Back in the late 80s- early 90s and what did that get them?

I don't see that we have the pieces. Also, I worry about rocking the chemistry boat. I think this team's success is based on its chemistry more than its talent.

I think Chandler would be a nice player for us, and Stotts certainly knows him well, but I'm cautious about messing with our team.

Felt that was too much youth to give up for Chandler. I kinda wanna hold on to at least one of TRob/Meyers.

If we wanted to add a shit-ton of defense (this would be high risk)

Mo/Wright/Freeland/Leonard/Barton

for

Chandler/Shumpert/Udrih

It would be a chemistry gamble certainly. But adds a lot of defense/athleticism. We would really need to believe in Chandler's health and CJ's ability to play the Mo role now. Also, it might put us in a position to give Claver some minutes at backup 3/4, not sure if we trust him now.

Chandler would be a great pickup but he's so damned expensive that I would not gut the bench to acquire him at this point. He didn't have an impact against us last time we beat them in NY when he played a full game.

Terry Stotts would argue this point. We don't run the 7 sec offense under Stotts and never have.

If you say so. The 109 PPG and bottom 1/3 defense is D'Antoni- like.

I highly doubt Wilt or Bill Russel would have predicted Luc Longley, Will Perdue and Bill Wennington could be the centers on a multi championship Bulls team either but they were.

Why would there be any hesitation to trade a collection of players off our bench (except CJ) for Tyson? It would be a huge upgrade for Portland. It would make them legit contenders.

It might be, or it might have been 3 years ago...Chandler has been losing since NY and his big payday..he plays with a superstar, can't stay healthy and costs a ton of money. I like the idea of having a defender like he was in Dallas. Since he's been a Knick, he's slacked off from what I've seen. Recently he's had some good games but would you give up that many guys for him? He's been very injury prone and missed games due to illness quite a bit this season and last season. We have a relatively healthy team. I'm getting used to it but beyond my jaded opinions, Olshey know what to do. Trust Olshey I say!

I like CJ but he's a project, He has not won or contributed to our win column like Freeland or Robinson or Williams have this season. I think those guys deserve some respect and the rookie has not shown that much yet.

If you can get him on the cheap (no CJ) but had to take back JR Smith, would you do it?

Sorry, just had to log in and let my laugh out....Okay, that's all. Much need on a slow night.

Cost + production = not a great value and makes it tough for me to pony up what it would take $$$ wise.
