Knicks Want Mourning?

The Knicks and Raptors are apparently in talks with Alonzo Mourning. Unless we're signing him, I don't want any trades. Unless its for Sundov or someone. The Knicks are on a 3 game winninf streak, and won 3 of their last 4 games. I do not think a big trade involving won of our starters or key role players, should take place. Nazr has been playing great at the C spot so far, and although Mourning is an experienced veteran C, his health is still an issue. I don't know how long those kidneys can hold up. I think we are better off staying with what we have. Tampering with chemistry is something we really don't need so let's just stick with our team that we have now. Let's see how we really play. If Nazr doesn't hold up and we really need a C then we can look at it but, unless it is for money we shouldn't trade our players for him.

You said it perfectly. Nazr has been playing well, and hopefully continues. Maybe Alonzo can put up better numbers at times, but his health is a MAJOR issue, while Nazr's is not. And you're also right about not trading any of our starters or key/role players.

What would we use him for anyway? We have no minutes to give him and were not looking to throw the ball into the post alot. We really dont have much of a use for him. Then there is of course his health. To be perfectly I dont want to hear about any other trade rumors unless its for a small forward(preferably Van Horn) and the only player were giving up is TT and someone else who isnt too important(not likely). We're solid in every other position. There's no need to go messing with what we have.

In other words there will be no trade. I hear that the Raptors might buy out his contract though so we might be able to sign him for the rest of our MLE. Provided none of the other serious contenders pick him up.

How about we pass on Mourning. Lets not sign him so that he could retire as one of the Knick's greatest rivals and not in a Knick uniform.

i have 0 interest in Mourning. I have serious doubts that he might even play this year let alone contribute. I really wish, basketball aside, that he did not return after he was diagnosted with his kidney ailment. He has not been the same since.

Zo will not be on the knicks... he will want to play for a MAJOR contender for the championships for this year... Unfortunately i don't think the knicks r for Zo, i think Zo is leaning towards the heat... if Zo gets a contract by out then i think the heat would take Zo for the MLE, i'm not too sure how much salary cap is left for Heat, but if Heat could have Malone and Zo, that'd be something special.
