It was ultimately the decision of the pilot regardless of what Kobe wanted. The pilot was experienced. He should have known better.

More likely it was crash-by-suicide by Kobe who often said he wanted to die young, with the best record in the NBA at the time of his death. LeBron was nipping at his heels.

Either way, he was a despicable being and paying tribute to him is disgusting and craven.

Elevating Kobe is demeaning to decent people everywhere, and an horrific attack on the millions of rape victims who see "their" society hold him up as a hero rather than lock him up as the inhuman monster he truly was.

To my knowledge a rapist is someone who has been convicted of rape. Kobe has never been convicted of rape, therefore he is not a rapist.
