Snoops a good rapper, but there’s honestly an insane list of talented MC’s. Mobb Deep wrote Shook Ones when they were 19. As somebody which has listened to an extensive amount of hip-hop/rap, I can say that the best you could do is compose a top artist list. Like it is for every genre of music really. You might say Queen is better than CCR, but you can’t REALLY say that one is better than the other - because they are both different and great in their own.

For me part of the brilliance of music is that you can’t entirely compare it. The music industry is also like an ocean, where the artists are fish, and the audience the fisherman. Music is such an important thing to us as humanity that there are countless people which choose to be a musician. It logically follows that some of the best won’t always be the most well known. This is definitely true in hip-hop, as some of the greatest MC’s Ive come across were not “mainstream” artists.
