I'm now confused. Whether he signs him before Oct 31, or matches a "market value" deal next year, don't we still have him for 4-6 more years? How does that show that KP hates PFs?

you are sort of new here so it's expected you don't know how things work/threads evolve. Fyi, people post videos here all the time. Usually when I'm in an unfamiliar situation I try to get a feel for things out before I act, but some people choose to lead with their chin. To each their own.YES THIS IS A BLAZER BOARD WHICH MEANS GO POST YOUR SOPHMORIC VIDEOS IN THE OT SECTION. STOMMMMMMMPPPPPPPP

I bring facts to threads with posters who do want to discuss Blazer hoops. This is just another one of your ridiculous rants during the dry time for NBA news. The posters that do try to respond to you with facts learn quickly that they'll only get shouted down with more all caps nonsense. Half the board has you on ignore and the other half regards your chicken little with a hangover stuff as amusing... you're claiming this is news to you?

Comparing LMA's contract to team options like Bayless is a complete joke and a complete FAIL!!!
Hmmm....
LaMarcus Aldridge is currently under contract for one year - the 2009-10 season. The organization has a limited window of opportunity to get him under contract for longer than that - a timeframe that began on July 1st and ends on October 31st. If October 31st passes and nothing is done, Aldridge will be a free agent on July 1st, 2010.
Greg Oden is currently under contract for one year - the 2009-10 season. The organization has a limited window of opportunity to get him under contract for longer than that - a timeframe that began on July 1st and ends on October 31st. If October 31st passes and nothing is done, Oden will be a free agent on July 1st, 2010.
Jerryd Bayless is currently under contract for one year - the 2009-10 season. The organization has a limited window of opportunity to get him under contract for longer than that - a timeframe that began on July 1st and ends on October 31st. If October 31st passes and nothing is done, Bayless will be a free agent on July 1st, 2010.
Rudy Fernandez is currently under contract for one year - the 2009-10 season. The organization has a limited window of opportunity to get him under contract for longer than that - a timeframe that began on July 1st and ends on October 31st. If October 31st passes and nothing is done, Fernandez will be a free agent on July 1st, 2010.
Nicolas Batum is currently under contract for one year - the 2009-10 season. The organization has a limited window of opportunity to get him under contract for longer than that - a timeframe that began on July 1st and ends on October 31st. If October 31st passes and nothing is done, Batum will be a free agent on July 1st, 2010.
Yeah, I can see why you wouldn't see any similarity....
BTW, I really appreciate that you took time to not only read my observations and ideas about the situation regarding LMA's extension but also to provide a thoughtful and insightful response. Your post reveals all that I need to know.....
I'll take $100 of that. PM me with a way to have someone else hold the bet (cash or money order) until 10/28.

willing to take any bets right now LMA is not signed bye training camp. so come on put your money where your mouth is people we can paypal this to the bank. NO WAY he gets signed.
but then when he doesn't it won't be KP's fault everyone will blame Vulcan cause boy genius could not possibly be low balling someone
Sure, my friend Lanny from Oregonlive's Blazer forum has 2 sets of season tickets. One pair in the 100 level, one pair in the 200 level.
The bet is this, if LMA hasn't signed his extension by the time the regular season starts I'll pay for the tickets and you and I will go to a Blazer game together.
If LMA is signed to an extension by the time the regular season starts you pay for the tickets and we'll still go to a Blazer game together.
You can decide if the bet is for the 100 level or 200 level seats.
whoa whoa whoa i believe i said training camp??
You replied to me after I posted "If the season starts and LMA still doesn't have an extension then you should let your conspiracy theories run crazy." I said by the start of the season. Why does this matter to you? I thought your main concern is that LMA isn't going to be signed at all.
I'll stand by what I said and the bet I proposed. LMA will get his extension by the deadline which I think is Oct. 31st. I'm not as confident that it will happen before training camp. I can see everyone taking a break and waiting until LMA arrives in town for camp before they finalize the deal. You're the one who is saying, "NO WAY he gets signed." I'm saying he will.
its oct 28th i believe and fine your on! he has to be signed bye the 27th !! i dont care if he is signed before the game on the 28th. once midnight strikes pacific time on the 28th I WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK, it's a bet! 100 level or 200 level seats? I've sat in both, they're both great seats.
I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win! I win!
OdenIsGod has been in the Oregonlive Blazer forum bragging for weeks that he's won this bet. Any chance the mods can un-ban him for a couple of days? I just want to gloat directly to him.
Oh and oddly enough, today is my birthday. KP is such a tricky bastard, I get he did this on purpose. Thanks! Victory and bragging rights always makes great gifts.
LOL!!!
Wait, so either way you have to go with him? Technically you won but you still lost. Godspeed.

LOL. Here's hoping he actually keeps the bet.
Good luck with getting him to pay up. It's hard to write checks in a straightjacket...
Oh, and now yet another similarity.....all of these players are now under contract for longer than one year (or will be once LMA actually signs the agreed-upon extension).
Congrats to Sly! Unfortunately, I fear that collecting your prize will be more difficult than trying to catch a Northern Pike in Oswego Lake....
man i would not want to go to a blazer game sitting next to someone who is actively rooting against the team
even if they paid for your ticket in a bet? I might have to break out some thundersticks to rub it inman i would not want to go to a blazer game sitting next to someone who is actively rooting against the team

I thought the person who was OIG, was supposed to be out of New York. Weren't they the one who said they were Oden's friend or something?
or did I confuse another poster with him?
