I tend to agree with Ed here. That quote doesn't sound like Sessions to me. It sounds more like a major move. Such as bringing in a Baron Davis or a Jason Kidd, where a lot will be unhappy due to their perceived flaws, but everyone will know them.

I seem to recall Pritchard really liking Kidd. And after seeing how well he was playing in Dallas, I could see bringing him in as the veteran leader, particularly if he's interested and willing to sign a more reasonable contract than his last one (he pretty much has to, noone is going to pay him max money again, though he should still acquire a sizable salary).

Yeah... sorry. Still don't see it. I don't think that many would consider Sessions a "great" player, nor even a "great" acquisition. Some people might consider him to be less than a good one of each (and I'd disagree with them) but I don't think that "great" really applies too much.

Okay. I think you're really, really undervaluing Sessions. Point guards as young as Sessions who are playing as well as Sessions is are very rare and valuable. I think Sessions would be a huge pick-up, a major addition. Obviously, I won't say Pritchard thinks just like me, as I have no idea. But I certainly wouldn't rule out that he sees that same value in Sessions. Considering he referenced Oden's PER, he clearly values numbers like that.
