Cronin deserves to be fired for not taking the New Orleans pick. (3 Viewers)

curious how many of those centers you compare Yang to had to rely on a translator to understand the coach their rookie season and how many put up big G league numbers their rookie season as they had two vet centers ahead of them in the rotation? Yang hasn't broken a sweat in the NBA yet. Chauncey deemed Yang a plug and play center, Tiago did not. Tiago realized the G league would speed up his development more than waiving a towel on the bench.

don't take this personal....I'm just having fun with google

Well when we get ousted in the play-in we’ll know within 48 hours if Cronin is gone or not.

My guess is they clean house.
Yeah, idk why people think Cronin is safe. I doubt they fire him before the season is over/maybe even before the draft. If he still is here a week after the draft. Then we probably have him for another year.

You don’t keep a GM for a draft. There’s plenty of time between end of season and draft to implement a new front office and scout for draft.

It’s one of those things where season ends and we find out one way or another within a day or two.

Since the official start of the rebuild (when they traded Damian), they've gone from 21 wins to 36 wins to potentially 42 and the playoffs.

They cleared the books from bad contracts, got extra draft capitol, and made significant smart trades (Deni, Tou for example). They've had some blunders (but all franchises will) and had luck bounced their way in the draft, they'd either have Wemby or Cooper.

All in all, the team is on the way up and improving.

So yeah, makes perfect sense to fire the GM and President.

Can't wait for the posts when it does happen. If all these things are true, the meltdowns will cause Denny to become a billionaire!

I think only people who will "melt down" are those who would be mad if he was retained. I think for the most part those who think he's staying are more likely to go with the flow.

Idk about that. You've been around long enough to know people have ran people out of here for being remotely negative about anything to do with the team.

Maybe they just go with the flow but they'll defend everything about this team no matter whats out on the floor.

"official"....? is that officially official? or just you hedging bets?

a rebuild usually doesn't happen on one single day or with one single transaction.

I think the rebuild started when Olshey was fired; got fully engaged the week CJ, Powell, RoCo, and Nance were all traded; got stalled by trading for Grant; got jump-started by blatant tanking in 2022, 2023, and 2024 (two seasons of which Dame was still a Blazer); and got mostly finalized by trading Dame but also set back a bit by foolishly adding Ayton

Ayton was the boat anchor we took on to get Toumani. Worth it.

They tried to re-tool (trading for Jerami).

Hyperbole.
Remotely negative? Lots of people here are negative at times and haven't been run out.
But just think about it. Do you prefer to be around positive people or perpetually negative people? Negativity is depressing. And there is a difference between being critical and just being negative.
Stren is still here and he bashes the team every chance he gets.
Your post is hyperbole….

And to some, being critical of the team in anyway is being negative.

No, I'm saying math is a made up construct, created only to torment high school kids
And just like that, engineers’ heads across the globe explode in anger!
And they immediately went to the equations!

This guy smashed 13.472649593664&492@2)% of my braincells trying to quantify the meaning of math!!!!

Hyperbole. Many people are critical. Ive been critical. Mediocre is critical all the time, you are often critical.

Come on man. The only people that get shit for being negative are the guys who make blanket idiotic statements like, this team sucks. Or Tous defense sucks this year.

You aren't using any context to the words negativity used aNd the response they get.

Who wants to read simpleton statements like this teams sucks and isn't worth caring about? That isn't being critical, its blind hate.

Those statements from people get attacked and justifiably so. But i see plenty of convos where one side is critical and isn't getting run out of here.

Just seems like general negativity is the way people think these days in the world instead of positive first. And especially on social media where negativity gets the most reactions and dialogue sadly.

And def some posters haven’t been around now as before.

Being critical of something doesn't mean it has to be negative. Some people just view it as so because they can't handle criticism.

Catching strays. What the actual FUCK!!!!!!

Sly, handle this unabashed personal attack

right....change rebuild to retool and everything is different!!

blatantly tanking last months of seasons, which Portland did for 2 years BEFORE trading Dame, is a rebuild. Obviously, the Blazers couldn't give up their institutional obsession of straddling fences, but the nature of what they were doing in the 2 seasons before Dame asked out was clear to see....rebuild

Consider the source but Marang claims he asked Dundon about job security and the answer was Joe and Dewayne are safe and Tiago is on a list of candidates.

You agree that they've improved over the last 3 seasons, no?

sure....but it's impossible to gauge by won/loss records because of the blatant tanking. Eyeball test says yes though

I just didn't agree that the 'rebuild started when Dame was traded. It started well before even though the Blazers never leaned all the way in. Bet-hedging and fence-straddling is a blazer way of life
