Would you hire a Realtor who doesn't sell houses? It's just advertising for the company to show that they did the job they were hired to do.

but the house hasn't been sold yet. That's the point. I made that mistake a couple of times the last home we bought. I'd drive by, see a nice place, see "SOLD!" and keep driving, while my interior designer wife was telling me I'm dumb for not reading the sign correctly, as we still needed to attend the open house

Houses that haven't been sold that have sold signs on them? That's a new one to me. Doesn't seem rational.
