This is just absolutely wrong....

That f@ggot tried to act like he wasn't phased, then he walks off stage, dude probably shat his draws.

HAHAH wow....i loved it when the guy was like "thats why your a washup, sienfeild, then that was it!" that was something i totally did not see coming, expecially from a character from seinfeld. he's never gonna be on anything again.

I'm glad everyone left that washed up bastard.

Damn..never will be able to watch Seinfeld the same ever again.

Makes you wonder how many other shows have "Kramers" on the DL.

Kramer (don't know his real name) needs to understand that there's a difference in a black comedian making jokes about white people and using the word cracker, and a white comedian making jokes about blacks, slavery, while using the word ******....the word "******" has a DEEP history behind it, the word cracker doesn't....I'm guessing he thought it was okay since Chris Rock says cracker in nearly all of his shows.

Just shows you how good a comedian he is too. He did that in response to heckling, but talented comedians can embarrass a heckler without completely offending the audience and discrediting themselves in the process. That was ridiculous.

I feel sorry for anyone who was black skinned and was there, or watched it. I hate racism. All people are awesome regardless of skin colour.

No they aren't, lol.

I liked Kramer too. Like said already, I will never watch the Seinfeld the same ever again.

WOWWWWWW

I'm a huge Seinfeld fan too, but DAMN that was totally unexpected.

I can't believe that people were still laughing (in small amounts) during his tirade.

If this is recent news (which I'm guessing it is), it should be brought into the media's attention quickly. That was blatant racism and totally uncalled for. Yeah, the guy probably interuppted, but he got all racist on him for no reason. I'm guessing the dude had a rough day and that was the last straw, but I never expected him to go THIS nuts.

I actually watched the tape 3 times, that was really surprising.

I'm sorry but that is a load of f'ing bullshit.

It is perfectly fine for a black man to sling racist cracker ass remarks at a white person or sling the n word at fellow blacks. But a white person can't do the same.

Do black people want equality in the world? Or just want everything for themselves?

Maybe I missed the history class where it said that black people, and only black people were the ones persecuted against. Because I am quite certain white people have been slung up a tree by non-white people at certain points in time. Or that white people have been slaves to non whites.

In no way is what Richards done smart, funny, correct or right, but I do not think Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock etc calling a white person any sort of name correct either.
Yet it is perfectly fine for a black person to laugh at Chris Rock dissin a white person, yet when they are the target they don't like it.

I'm sorry but I do not see the equality in that.

You want the world on even ground? Then stop dishing out what you cannot take.

shocking, i grew up wanting to be kramer. btw, i 'm almost certain he's jewish, kinda weird to hear those comments from a jewish guy.

Wrong.

DID YOU WATCH THE DAMN VIDEO. DUDE WASNT MAKING JOKES, HE WAS CALLING THE BLACK DUDE THE N WORD TO HIS FACE. Black comedians make fun of EVERYBODY white people included. There is a fine DIFFERENCE, between JOKING AND HAVING FUN compared to being DEAD SERIOUS.

Damn dude, get a clue. Black people call black people the term because when facing animosity, they turned a negative into a positive. What other choice do you have when you had to pick cotton all day? It's a cultural thing that if you aren't black you'll probably never understand.

Cracker isn't even a very offensive term in the first place.

you know......I'll make this short.

EVERYONE has the right to say what the ***** is on their mind. Not saying i wasn't pissed watching this, but them dudes were wrong calling him a cracker and ish like that.

yeah in response, plus, the n word has historical baggage, big difference.

First of all, this is a topic regarding racism so everyone please try and keep your emotions in check.

Secondly, I Miss MJ was responding to this:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">

With this:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yet it is perfectly fine for a black person to laugh at Chris Rock dissin a white person, yet when they are the target they don't like it.</div>

For example, it's the same when other races (including blacks) generalize browns and call them all as "Pakis"...why is it acceptable for other races to call us Pakis, even if we're not from Pakistan? If everyone wants equality and strives to stop racism, the right place to start is to eliminate the words that spark racism altogether.

I'm not saying this in regards to Richards' tirade, he was obviously being racist. My post is in regards to people thinking it's okay to make fun of other races, yet when it comes to thier own, there is a much more hostile response.

Smarten up, fam. "They turned a positive into a negative".. This is a tired ass explanation that I've heard for 10+ years. Everyone that gives this explanation says it exactly the same, as if they all read it out the same book. It doesn't desensitize sh*t. Racist white folks still use it as derogatory. In music (rap) n*igga is usually derogatory also. Think about the last time you saw two black folks fight....n*gga was uttered about 487 times.

I admit, when I was a younger cat, I used the word...took me years to break myself of it. Unfortunately, the word is here to stay in hip-hop.

I gotta ask, are you black?

Wrong.

So what you're saying is, its perfectly acceptable for a black person to make fun of a white persons culture, but its not acceptable for a white person to make fun of a black persons culture?

Cracker (or any derogatory remark) is just as racist as the word ******, I hate how blacks claim the word ****** is so much worse because it has this supposid long and bad history behind it, so what? That means nothing, if you find the word offensive, then you find it offensive.

Racist remarks, whether it be the n word, cracker, Paki, terrorist, whatever, all fall under the same category. You can't make the case for one race as more important than another one.

<div class="quote_poster">I-Miss-MJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Then neither is *****.</div>

dude your saying that from australia, u don't understand the intensity of race in america. i.e. white people were even walking out during kramer's n-word laced tirade, that should give u some kind of perspective. moreover, as i've previously stated- the n word is rooted in slavery, easily the most disconcerting part of american history for all americans to this day.

<div class="quote_poster">authentiq Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">First, you're just as ignorant for saying that I-MISS-MJ needs to get a clue when you need one yourself. No I'm brown.

Everyone gives that explanation because it makes sense. How else would you explain it?

I don't need a clue. Calling a black person when your a black person the N word, is just another word for brotha. It's slang, have you ever said "man MJ is a sick basketball player" you don't mean Mike is in bad health, you mean he is good. When a black person calls a black person the N word he isn't calling him a slave, he callin him a friend ect, of course when the term is not used deragtory fashion.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Then neither is *****.</div>
Why wouldn't it be? Cracker is an offensive term, but how much sting does it actually have compared to a term that white people called black slaves?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wrong.

Was this dude joking when he called dude the N word?

No he wasn't. I never said it was ok for people to call white people crackers, black comedians JOKE about it.

I never said cracker wasn't as racist as the N word. But if I call a white person cracker why would they be upset compared to when a black person is called the N word? Its not about a racist word being more important. It would be easy for someone to say being call the N word is just as offensive as being called a cracker when they have probably never experienced being called a N word before. If your skin was black I'm sure you'd feel different. Cracker= farmer who owned his own land, N word= worker who was owned my another Man

Yeah, I mean what would be know about racism, the white population basically whiped out the entire Aboriginal race, but I mean we know nothing
rolleyes.gif

I would've walked out during his performance too, what he did / said was 110% wrong, we arent doubting that, what we're saying is that its moronic that Black people are basically allowed to make fun of White people and White culture, but when White people make fun of Black people and Black culture, its deemed racist. You're basically telling us Black people have a license to be racist.

As I said, the "history" behind the word ****** means nothing, as Karma said, they're all as derogatory as each other, they're all said in the same matter that is meant to offend the same.

Hah, ironically today. . a girl told me "I am not racist, I am black!"

That being said, all comments that can possibly offend anyone are completely out of line. I used to love Kramer and watching Seinfeld I'd love when he'd do something insane, but this is just. . pushing the limit. However, I don't get how people are thinking Carlos Mencia is hilarious, I find that dude pretty unfunny too.

And just for the sake of "clearing up" cracker:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Historically the word suggested poor, white rural Americans with little formal education. Historians point out the term originally referred to the strong Scots-Irish of the backcountry (as opposed to the English of the seacoast). Thus a sociologist reported in 1926, "As the plantations expanded these freed men (formerly bond servants) were pushed further and further back upon the more and more sterile soil. They became 'pinelanders,' 'corn-crackers,' or 'crackers.'"</div>
Link

What do you say to offend a white person racially? White Trash, or Cracker. To say it's not offensive is off-base and contradicting. And if any of the "South Asians" (Indians, Pakis, etc.) are truly offended when someone generalizes them with India/Pakistan, you are insane. That's a COMMON mistake. Now if someone were to call me a terrorist or something, that's different, but don't bring up the "Oh, I am Pakistani and he called me Indian OHMYGOD." That's complete crap, correct them and tell them why that's important and get over it.

Overall. . Richard's comments were not trying to be funny, I think at the beginning people thought he was trying to be funny. . That was uncalled for -- and to return that tirade with a racist remark is pretty idiotic. Whatever happened to tolerance in the world?

I was pointing out not so subtly that cracker and ****** are either as bad as each other or not.

I don't see their being degrees of offensive racial words. They either are or they aren't.

The simple solution is this - either everyone can use it eliminating the negativity or no one can use it making it a big social no no

i call my biological father "dad", is it o.k. for u to call him dad as well? thats some poor logic on your part. slang as u call it, is not universal, rather it is a very particularistic thing.

same thing happened in N.A.- scholars estimate that between columbus arriving in the americas in 1492 and 100 years afterwards, 100 million indigenous people vanished. however, slavery is much more complicated cause it became a morally divisive issue, in fact, they fought a war over it. fyi, more americans have died in the US civil war than any other war with american participation. furthermore, black people are still around and their rights are enshrined, unlike the aboriginals in australia who have become nothing more than pariah's. therefore, protecting minorities in america has become its greatest social concern.

of course there are degrees and there is context as well. restraint is a part of growing up.
