Hoping he gets in a couple games with a real coach before Quinn starts to ruin him like he's doing with Kakko, Gauthier and Lafreniere. When retard Quinn comes back I expect the team to quit on him and hopefully JD and Gorton who have had their head up their ass after the draft will fire him quickly.

Again I'm confused. I thought the team already quit on Quinn? You wrote that last week. So they're going to quit on him again? That's tough.

And the fact that you expect that means they'll probably throw a parade for him when he returns, since you are wrong more than any person on earth from what I see.

I have his no nothing about hockey dumbass on ignore. So I don't see his retard shit. I have no idea other than the fact he's a mental midget, why he responds to my posts. I guess he's just that dumb. Not surprising considering he thinks Quinn has a clue. I saw a Rangers fan at a brewery and said Quinn has to go. He said, hell yes and that schmuck Howden also. Yet, Chuck still remains a moron.

LOL. Chuck, you don't see that team is playing very differently these past 4 games. I am not even talking about the result, they are skating better, their passes seem sharper, the transition from D to O is much smoother and noticeably faster. They have a lot more chances per game. I don't see much difference in the defense, I know Sam and Joe saying that every night, but I don't see that, but the offense, the flow of the game is very different from previous games. Also, Kakko scoring 2 goals, I know one was an empty netter, but still it is 2 goals is because he played with Strome and Panarin. This is what we have been saying all along, put the kids on 3 separate lines (LFA, Kakko and Gauthier). Quinn is going to bury Kravtsov onto the 4th line and make him prove himself playing with the least talented players. That's the point that dump is making and I agree with him.

Trying to get through to Chuck on the Rangers is like telling a dog to stop licking his nuts. It's never going to happen. He's a stubborn fucking mule who can't see his own stupidity.

Shocker - cursing and vulgar responses. Who would have guessed it. What a child.

As for the team, here we go again. It was Knoblauch's team when they won, then this is Quinn's team and Knoblauch is following his orders (which was confirmed by Brooks and the MSG guys) when they lost. Now they won a couple of games and it's look how much better they are playing.

Quite frankly the whole thing is laughable, and once again shows you guys will spin the story to meet your rigged against Quinn narrative.

Safe to say the non followers of your leader in here know the real truth about the nonsense.

Chuck, while Quinn is saying who is in and out the difference I noticed right away is the lines not changing every 5 minutes and guys having a chance to get used to linemates. The play is also more crisp to the eyes.

Exactly - when they win. When they lost it was this is still Quinn. You guys want it both ways. That's clear. All good.

This sums it up - not much else to say:

And interesting it was to see Kris Knoblauch double down and go Full Quinn from behind the bench by sitting kids and heaping time on the big guns down the stretch of Saturday’s victory in Washington.

Of course, when David Quinn, the head guy who is expected to be in COVID protocol through at least Friday, pulls a stunt like that, he should be dismissed immediately. But when the acting guy, Knoblauch, does it, that proves that he has the pulse of the team and should be hired to replace the other one forthwith.

Wasting your time dude. One cup in 81 years but according to Chuck and a couple of other dipshits here the Rangers know what they are doing.

The one cup in 81 years thing doesn't make much sense. Were JD/Gorton/Quinn around for those 81 years? Last I checked they have been together for 3 years or less since JD came on board. Just before that time they issued a letter of surrender and rebuild. So holding 81 years against this leadership group is quite frankly ridiculous. And if you want to bring the owner into this, I don't really buy that either as he stays out of hockey (he is/was too in the weeds with the Knicks).

So to me this leadership group has been together for 3 years or less, they have been together under a clear rebuild scenario, and they have made moves/taken strides to keep the rebuild down to 3 years hopefully, as I expect next year we get back to winning.

I know that is a fair and rational way to look at it, which means no shot you'll get it or agree since it's about instant gratification and firing a coach 4 months after he is hired, but that's reality. I have said over and over again, Quinn may not be the guy but I think he deserves next season to make that call given the circumstances of his time here. Team should be lined up to win next season, sink or swim time for Quinn.

I don’t want to see another season of Quinn. After this season let him go back to college

Yes, we are aware of your opinion on that. Good teams don't recycle coaches every 2 or 3 years. Once again I am puzzled as to what Quinn has done to lose his job given the self proclaimed rebuild in place when he got here, the solid growth season given the talent last season, the youngest team in the NHL this season, 13 mill in dead cap space this season, and still showing good growth as the season has progressed. Go look around at other rebuilds and how many years teams have stunk and are still rebuilding. Maybe that will give you some perspective (doubtful as an entitled NY fan).

Under JD/Gorton/Quinn they have this team moving in the right direction in 3 years, and poised to take a big step forward in year 4 (with the right moves this summer).

You can think whatever you want, but in the absolute best case scenario Gorton and Quinn thought next year to start winning again. That's when Staal's, Hank's, Smith's deals were set to expire. It is also why they were okay buying out Shatt knowing he had a huge balloon dead cap space hit this year, and why they were okay buying out Hank for 5.5 mill knowing he is down to 1.5 against the cap next season. I have absolutely zero doubt next season was their best case focus when the letter was issued.

Most rational fans realize all that though.

Okay, last try!

Chuck, they played the same each game, they lost one I believe so far 2:1 loss to Caps where they blew the lead late. They played very well that game. Again, I am not judging by the result but the way the team played these past 4 games. Their play is very consistent, the passes are sharp, the guys are getting used to each other because lines stay consistent. The only change was Howden out Gauthier in and he switched Blackwell with Kakko. I am judging strictly by the flow of the game how I see it. It is easier to watch, easier on the eye. I haven't walked out to even get water during these past 4 games, or I paused TV to get something, but with Quinn, I used to walk away all the time because at times it would be painful to watch.

If you don't see it, you don't see it. That's fine. If Quinn was a relative of mine, I would defend him as well.

That sums it up. It looks easier on your eye. After they lost to the Caps it was oh this is Quinn's team still. Then they won and it's oh I see a big difference and Knoblauch is amazing. It's comical the way you guys operate with a pre-ordained POV and perspective.

It is funny how me being fair to Quinn knowing that the team played well given their talent last season, and this season they were getting sharper and maturing under Quinn, makes me a Quinn defender. I just want to be fair to the guy and not look to fire coaches every 2 or 3 years. You guys love to blame the coach for everything, and it's worse now because the team self-proclaimed we are not winning for a while, and you still are getting on the coach.

Best thing for Knoblauch is never get the full-time Rangers job or you guys will turn on him like you did Quinn. Again your leader started a Fire Quinn thread 4 months after he got the job. Don't tell me there isn't an agenda to always blame/fire the coach when that thread is started 4 months in. Come on now.

Thought it was pretty telling to hear Knoblauch say that playing or not playing Kravtsov was not his decision and he didn't expect him to play this year. Unless I read it wrong. I read it quick this morning. Inept and incompetent Gorton has refused to do the house cleaning that is necessary on this team. Meaning DeAngelo, Howden, Di Giushitty and Smith all out here. Blackwell to the minors. No more scratching Gauthier. Kravtsov on the ice instead of whacking off in the stands or in the AHL.

Once again, you make stuff up. It is Quinn's decision, but no one said he wasn't playing this year. He isn't playing tonight as he needs some practice time. I would think Saturday or Sunday. You will look for any reason to rip someone man.

Kris Knoblauch is the perfect front man as the New York Rangers enter another contest with their eyes set on a win. Since his emergency call up due to David Quinn testing positive for COVID-19, Knoblauch has been in constant contact with the head coach. They speak by phone or zoom daily, and multiple times on game days.

So while the Blueshirts have won three of their last four with some new faces behind the bench, it is still Quinn and his staff pulling the strings and making the calls.

After the Rangers demolished the Flyers 9-0, Knoblauch detailed how Quinn and the staff prepared them. “I talked to Quinny throughout the day – we probably had six phone calls,” he revealed. “Obviously the game plan was set out for us – well prepared.” Expectedly, Quinn detractors disregarded those comments and felt Mika Zibanejad’s breakout game was due to Knoblauch.

“A big part of our success tonight came off O-zone face-offs,” Knoblauch began to explain. “I remember that was one of the things [Quinn] told me before the game was to give our top lines more opportunities to score. Have them take those offensive zone face-offs.” Once again, Knoblauch details how he is executing a predetermined game-plan that includes how to distribute ice time.

Credit where credit is due. Knoblauch has done a great job executing for the Rangers, but we all need to remember where he gets his marching orders from. This surge by the Rangers belongs primarily to the players, but Quinn deserves tremendous credit as well.

Don't let those facts get in the way of the anti-Quinn narrative though.

Credit to Knoblauch for sure, but credit to Quinn and staff also as they are heavily engaged and involved in what's going on as is clearly called out above. I will also add, if Quinn does take anything out of this time away when he returns over the weekend or Tuesday, I do hope he settles in with the lines a bit more and let's them work through any struggles. I think that would be wise.

I would expect these lines once Kravtsov is in:

Kreider/Zib/Buch
Panarin/Strome/Kakko
Lafreniere/Chytil/Kravtsov
Lemieux/Rooney/Blackwell

Let it ride and away we go.

Chuck, why does the number 1 OA pick Mr. Lafrenniere who scored over 200 pts in juniors last year look like he's never played hockey before in his life under this coach? Why does he have 3 teenagers playing on a line together instead of giving them veteran support on the lines to speed up their development? The kid line sounds cute but was totally ineffective. And despite FINALLY scoring a couple of PP goals why doesn't this coach have have Kakko's 1 timer instead of Buch's slow as shit reactions on it so we don't have 4 left hand shots on it? Even Valiquette who is very knowledgeable has been harping on it. And lastly when will you reveal you are really Quinn's nephew? Asking for a friend!!

I don't know why he is struggling under Knoblauch or why he lost him on the bench as he said after one of the Caps games. You have to ask Kris that question (or is that on Quinn since it is negative which = on Quinn as only positive = on Knoblauch).

But I'm sure your answer is Quinn is ruining everyone as it's now back to being Quinn's team...LOL.

Good times. Blowing in the wind to fit your predetermined narrative as always mel.

And again Buch is not on PP1, Strome is with Zib, Kreider, Panarin, and Fox. Kakko is on PP2 with Buch. I know that nitpick is right up your alley though as you guys think you know better, and whine about every little thing. WWWWAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Come on mel!

Chuck, why does the number 1 OA pick Mr. Lafrenniere who scored over 200 pts in juniors last year look like he's never played hockey before in his life under this coach?

Could his struggles have anything to do with the fact that, after skipping the WJC, he went almost 10 months between competitive games and had exactly zero pre-season games (or even a real training camp) to acclimate to the NHL game? There's never been a layoff and learning curve like that for a top pick that I can remember. It's ridiculous to think that his struggles are only because of one man, Sir David Quinn, the all powerful wizard who can sabotage even Connor McDavid. Laf also did not have over 200 pts in juniors in one year, no idea where you got that number from.

Why does he have 3 teenagers playing on a line together instead of giving them veteran support on the lines to speed up their development?

What a weird complaint. I dont like that line, but that line has not been together all that long. Lafreniere has spent way more time with Zibanejad as his center than Chytil. Kakko has played very often with Strome and Panarin. Guess what - neither of them lit it up playing with veterans. So it appears Quinn tried to shelter them a bit recently and get them easier matchups to get their games going. Fair and reasonable though not something I would do.

And despite FINALLY scoring a couple of PP goals why doesn't this coach have have Kakko's 1 timer instead of Buch's slow as shit reactions on it so we don't have 4 left hand shots on it?

Kakko is also a left hand shot. And this mythical one-timer of his has turned into quite the urban legend. His one timer is fine. It's not something he's ever been known for, and just because he one-timed a nice feed on an odd man rush doesnt mean he is now the next Shea Weber. Buchnevich earned his PP time this year. You want to find Kakko room on the second unit too, that's fine. But saying Buch should come off is not realistic.

And lastly when will you reveal you are really Quinn's nephew? Asking for a friend!!

I'm sure he'll reveal it right after you reveal that David Quinn stiffed you on an autograph last year and you still havent gotten over it.

I am not a huge fan of David Quinn as a coach. His offensive system is too predictable. If we are down late we seem to have no adjustment when teams shift to a defensive focus. Some of his lineup moves are questionable. Our forecheck is too easily beaten. He hasnt gotten a lot out of the young forwards this year. There is a ton of room for him to improve. But reading this godawful message board you would think the guy was the devil himself. People need to be realistic. 4/9 top forwards are kids. 2/4 top defense are kids. Youngest team in the league. We had no preseason. A fake training camp. Unbelievable struggles from our best 2 way player that dragged the whole team down. Awful goaltending. A Russian hit job on our best player and he went into hiding for a month. A day to day injury to our best goalie that takes him an eternity to come back from. There's so much other shit going on this year you all look like absolute CLOWNS just crying about David Quinn over and over.

Agree 100% Prod, right down to your take on Quinn. It's like there are two camps, either you despise Quinn and think he's the devil as you wrote, or you take a more measured we'll see approach and that means you are related to him. That's how this board works led by their leader - who advocates firing people 4 months after they are hired.

As I have written many times, I am not sure on Quinn. I am not sold on him being the long term answer. I am not sold on him being the guy to take us to the next level hopefully starting next season. I have issues with decisions he has made. I have written that many times.

I have also written, while I do feel that is true, I also think he deserves a chance to be the coach when the team is ready to take the next step, hopefully next season. Then we'll see if he is up to it. To date I do not see what the guy has done to deserve to be fired, I really don't. This team is not ready to win yet, despite all the entitled over the top Rangers fans thinking they are.

To me the pressure on Quinn gets ramped up next season. It is sink or swim for him at that point. I think he deserves that chance given the state of the team when he took over to now (self-proclaimed rebuild, youngest team in NHL, 13 mill of dead cap space, no camp/condensed season).

As for the PP question, mel thinks Buch is on PP1 and Kakko should replace him there. That is incorrect. Both Buch AND Kakko currently play on PP2.

Wow, with that sermon prod, u have way too much time on your hands. As for you chuck, your hopeless!

Pretty much everything you said was wrong Prod. Kakko has scored several one timers off the rush in the NHL already and in Finland he was used on the PP doing it. It's not urban legend. It's called not having your fucking head up your ass when evaluating a player. Kakko wasn't a unanimous choice second overall because he was an incredible skater. He got drafted for second overall for his array of shots, hands and size. Strome on the PP at RW is useless. Every time Fox gives him the puck he turns and then has a guy in front of him and the play goes nowhere. Having Kakko one time the puck would make the PP more efficient. Any moron can see that. Complaining about shitty coaching does not make one look like a clown. It makes Rangers fans like you and Chuck look like you don't give fuck about championships. Which is exactly why the team has sucked cock 80 out of 81 years and has one cup to show for it. Accepting fucking retard coaching and GM'ing has been accepted by the majority of our fan base. To some of us who actually give a shit about this team winning cups it's not acceptable. Quinn has a pretty good track record going of doing jack shit with first round forward picks. Kakko has regressed under him. Lafreniere has done nothing. He's completely fucked over Gauthier. Chytil looked like he was about to take off. He got hurt which is not Quinn's fault. Comes back, struggles a little and then the dumb fuck puts him on an all kid line with little experience. Moronic. Andersson may never have amounted to shit but when he outplayed Howden all pre-season and the retard rewards Howden with more ice time from day one, it's poor coaching. Quinn is a shitty coach. I finally see more and more Rangers fans pointing it out on other boards. I said for months I wanted the AHL coach. You can see a much higher level of respect with him behind the bench. If you don't, you're just full shit.

What does 1 title in 81 years have to do with the current leadership in place for less than 3 REBUILDING years?

It is also once again laughable that you want to blame Quinn for everything. Players struggle to acclimate to the NHL, potentially for the reasons Prod called out, means Quinn is awful and ruined player X. Any credit for Fox or Miller or Buch or Strome or Zib? Of course not.

And your nerve to even mention Andersson at all shows your absolute lack of touch with reality. The kid doesn't even sniff the lineup with the Kings, but you blame Quinn. Comical.

You started a fire Quinn post 4 months after he was hired, that is your thing. You know better, you worship kids, you make up trades that never EVER EVER happen, and you want the coach fired constantly.

And no fans don't point it out on other boards. Unlike here where you have your cult followers, the other boards call you out for your nonsense and you disappear and don't kill the board like you do this one.

You can see a higher level of respect - I'll tell you what I see...LOL.

Don't believe me. Read people who actually scout players for a living.

Offensive Game
Kakko is a highly skilled winger who can create in a variety of ways. He has the soft hands to stickhandle in a phone booth and can protect the puck and extend plays. His wrist shot is extremely powerful and features a very quick release. He also has an effective one-timer. Kakko uses his soft hands to finish plays in tight. All of this makes him a pure sniper. However, he can also be an effective playmaker. When an opportunity presents itself, he can set up a teammate for a scoring chance. Kakko is a smart player who sees the play developing and makes the smart play. He has very good vision and can find an open teammate in front of the net. His soft hands and quick feet allow him to change angles and beat a defender to create a passing lane.

Kakko is mature, poised and displays high intelligence with or without the puck. He constantly is in motion and uses his strength to win physical battles or get inside positioning on opponents. Kakko uses a variety of moves and fakes to get himself into shooting position, but he doesn’t not require optimal conditions to wire off a blistering, accurate shot that is labeled for the corner or far post. Although he may one day be classified as a power forward, Kakko is more competitive than he is physically intimidating, and his work in corners and in front of the net delivers positive results far more often than a broken play or unforced error. He owns a wide stride and his straight-line speed is above-average for a big winger. But he is agile, well balanced, nimble and he can beat defenders either inside or out. Kappo’s endurance is excellent during the first half of his shifts, but like most larger forwards, he can run out of gas in the middle of a play.

That's a hint for one timing it jackass.
