This, I can see the others as competition but love is a level below the rest based primarily on the fact his team sucks with him.

I agree, but his stats are impressive. 23.9/13.8/4.2, which looks a lot better than LMAs 23.5/10.6/2.7

But his D is much worse, he doesn't command the same attention, and his teams never win. Although to be fair they have had one of the toughest schedules so far, and their "star" pg is one of the worst shooters in modern nba history.

StatLove is just a SG in a PF body. He should be playing SF. At least then, you can bring a true PF and Center to do what they are supposed to do.

Most. Aldridge is one of a small handful of PF's with post moves nowadays. As far as defense, a decent amount. Fitting both your criteria how bout Griffin? Terrence Jones? David Lee? JJ Hickson?

He's pretty quick. He can't defend anyway, so put him on the perimeter.

Love isn't the main problem on that team. Rubio can't shoot a lick and they just paid Pek a butt-ton and he's the wrong type of C to pair with Love. Pek is good and should have trade value for a different team.

Don't get me wrong, I think LMA is far better than love, but love isn't bad an isn't a SG. He's a top 5 PF in the league, worts and all.

I love that he's getting some love, and he should be on the list of dark horse contenders, but let's be serious, as good as he's been there are better candidates.

I'm extremely proud of this kat. Instead of pouting, withdrawing, throwing the towel in and waiting for the team to move him. He has done the exact opposite and proven to be something I never knew we had in him. Granted, I always knew he was a player. But he has taken on a role and is doing things I would have never expected out of him.

Ya, preconceived notions and bias sadly play a much larger role than it should. Winning, and the MVP chants are certainly helping to change that perception.
