Ok I dont believe this, but a guy I used to work with was a Laker a fan and he thought the NBA really didnt like Jim Buss and was trying to make them suck so he wouldnt be the “face” of the Lakers. He thought that when Magic took over the NBA would be head over heels about that and their “luck” would be much better.
Again I dont really believe it, but it was weird hearing that from a Laker fan.
