I see no difference between Vogel and Stotts.
I do. Vogel has won a championship

Fair point. The fact you assume AD is going to be playing is the best part lol.
I’m speaking of the figurehead of Laker HC. I see a white retread middle aged guy coaching Lebron and it not working. I like Stotts, but I also like Vogel. I don’t think guys like that will be successful with that team. Add in David Blatt. It isn’t going to work.Really? They seem like very different coaches to me. I can't remember what your overall feeling on Stotts was in terms of scheme, leadership style, etc. but those two differ in many areas to me.
That roster doesn’t care what Vogel wanted or taught. Totally uncoachable team when you are anything less than a Phil Jackson type. Championship winner. Spoelstra etc.Vogel at least pretends that he cares about defense.

Kind of have to put an * by it though?Vogel, the retread middle aged guy did win a title with the Lakers though...
I can't wait until we get a chance to hang a banner with an * next to it!Kind of have to put an * by it though?
Enes Kanter playing up at the screen was better in b the WCF than playing drop and letting Steph get wide open 3s by design. But it took a toll of media backlash for him to change it. And even after having the wrist defense in the league for two years, he still didn't change shit. "Nurk with a broken leg or Enis Kanter and Melo" obviously weren't suited to run what he was running either, but somehow this dude still has an excuse to not have tried anything defensively. You all talking about drop coverage when he would have Anthony Davis instead of Nurk with a broken leg or Enis Kanter and Melo.
Comical.
I can't argue that "Drop Coverage" was the right call. I also can't say what they were dealing with for certain. I do know the Blazers were on a 36 hour turnaround for game one in that series after a grueling 7 game series vs the Nuggets.Enes Kanter playing up at the screen was better in b the WCF than playing drop and letting Steph get wide open 3s by design. Over his career AD averaged 60 games per year. That's better than Nurkic who averaged 50 games per year...
Lol is that really true? I mean it does make sense since nurk missed lots of time.
Are we strictly talking because of injury (AD) or just straight playing time cause Nurk was second fiddle at the beginning of his career.

Simple basketball reference total number of games divided by the number of years.
it's a little misleading, but pretty accurate.
Over 8 / 10 years (which is where they are in their careers) - it is good enough. We have a large enough sample size to minimize the small discrepancies.
"Our," lol...With how terrible Cronin and Jody Allen are running this franchise, and how hopeless out future is, Dame on the Lakers doesn't bother me as much as it once would.
Still would be painful as heck though.
If only they had experience running other pick n roll defenses over the course of the season. They probably would've been more prepared for the adjustment and probably wouldve executed it better. Could've made it a series.I can't argue that "Drop Coverage" was the right call. I also can't say what they were dealing with for certain. I know that Kanter was basically playing with one arm, Amino was nursing a a bad ankle and played only a total of 62 minutes over 4 games. I know things were so bad Meyers Leonard started 2 games after it was obvious Enes was getting abused. I also know Lillard was nursing a knee injury and now it sounds like he was also dealing with abdominal pain.
I know that losing Game two changed that series. They never should have lost game 4 either.
The Blazers were reduced to playing Meyers Leonard and Evan Turner with Rodney Hood more minutes than players who started all season. Very tough series.
Yeah like they did when they had their starting center. If only they had experience running other pick n roll defenses over the course of the season. They probably would've been more prepared for the adjustment and probably wouldve executed it better. Could've made it a series.
Ya Melo has got to be putting a good word in for Stotts.Melo getting happy
Watch Stotts win a championship with the Lakers...
He absolutely could if Lebron and AD stay and they get Wall. I could also see them trying to get Lavine.
The Lakers have assets that no other team has because they are the Lakers. That team is washed up and they don't have any assets to go get better players.

Edit- That's why we Hate Them!
