Lakers to offer Bynum for Bosh?

Raptor fans are quickly going to find out that Bynum just isn't that good. He wont have a Kobe to take pressure off of him in Toronto.
 
So does this mean that Bynum will be the first HOF center to play for a Canadian team?
 
I'd rather stick with Oden through a million injuries than trade him for Bynum. Bynum is a huge vagina.

Oden career PER 19.5 vs Bynum 18.1

Bynum is good, but the only advantage right now is health, and with Andrew that is a ticking time bomb as we know.

All together, I'd say that Bynum has had 1 whole seasons worth of decent games. But once he gets hurt, he struggles to come back from that injury.

I'm not sure why he's struggling right now (though lord knows I'd love it if Greg was struggling that bad right now), but realistically he hasn't performed in the manner that puts him miles ahead of Greg in overall production.

I realize that Greg has basically had 1 season of production, and it's at a lower rate than Andrews (although per 36, their stats aren't vastly different).

I would agree with your assertion that he have proven more than Oden. And not just offensively/defensively either. He's proven he gets the better injuries. ;)

I'm not sure, if I was the Lakers, I'd trade Bynum for Bosh. I sure wouldn't be that upset, if I was a fan though. If I was the Raptors, I wouldn't trade Bosh for Bynum. I'm sure I could (and better yet, should) get more for him than Bynum.

If I was Toronto, I'd say 'it starts and ends with Gasol'.


And before Laker fans start getting their shit ready to fling, before he went to the Lakers, Gasol was probably just as productive as Bosh was, esp when you consider his playoff #'s.

Gasol had 12 playoff games (in 3 season) and Bosh has 11 in 2 games. So you can't really use playoff experience as an argument. Bosh has as much as Gasol did.

Bosh is 4 years younger, a better scorer, and I'd say the rest of their #'s are a wash.

There are some downfalls to the trade tho, even though they'd improve on how just freaking irritating Pau is. Bosh looks like one of those aliens from X-files...I'm not sure how much an improvement that is. :)
 
I can't stand Lakers' fans and the media here with Bynum. They don't realize the kid is 22 and is going to go through his peaks and valleys. Right now he is struggling because they don't feature him in the offense as much as I think they should. Shit, I don't think they feature Gasol enough, either. Fisher is killing the entire lineup with his shit play and when Farmar comes in, the ball just stops in his hands.

Kobe, while having arguably one of his best seasons, feels like he needs to do too much without Gasol in there. I'm not concerned with Bynum's play at all, he's young. If he was in his prime and still this inconsistent, I'd trade him in a heart beat but the kid is still 5 years away from entering his prime.

And What I meant by my comment about proving more is Bynum's shown his flashes of pure domination and he's proven to be healthy this year, but I know it is still a concern. Hopefully he can get back into a groove, but I don't see that happening right now, especially with Gasol potentially coming back. We're playing with two C's, not a C and a PF. I wish Bynum was coming off the bench, not Odom.
 
I'm torn about this trade. On the one hand, Bynum is ridiculously overrated, and can't play alongside Gasol. So in that sense (to repeat what I said in another thread) he's the Lakers' Marcin Gortat - puts up good numbers when their real star frontcourt player is out.

But on the other hand, Bosh is pretty overrated too, and would probably mean fewer minutes for Odom, who is the Lakers' perennial leader in +/-.

I'm just waiting for the NBA to step in and make the Raptors take Mbenga, Powell and Vujacic for Bosh

When it comes to trade "rumors" (and by rumors, I mean shit he cooks up and prints to get people to read his stuff)? I doubt it, though even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.

You know it. And when that happens, I'll probably give up on the NBA all together, and move on with life.

I think Vescey called the Rose/Marshall for Williams/Williams/Davis trade, too.
 
Reading this article by Chad Ford got me thinking again, about just how good OKC is going to be. The city may not be enticing, but when you think of the lineup they could sign/produce then they're going to be really, REALLY good. I remember thinking about this last off-season, and it's just now entering my mind again:

Westbrook/Maynor
Harden/Sefolosha/Weaver
Durant/Green
*Star PF*/White/Ibaka
Krstic/Collison/Mullins

*Potential PF's include Amare, Boozer and Bosh.

That's going to be a really, really good and dangerous lineup for years to come.
