Lamarcus is playing tonight!!

It's awesome he has done this. And just the unselfishness of the decision.

But I think he needs to have the surgery. What's going on in Rip City with him, his teammates and really this culture is much bigger than this one season. The Blazers can still move on with their plan without him. And that is create something very similar to what the Spurs had last year. Developing players and the system and Stotts has a good one so it makes them difficult to beat. Next year could be very special barring injuries. I think next year is what you play for. I don't agree with Canzanos article. I think is LA sold. He is in the perfect situation. Perfect coach for him and his skill set. Perfect team mates for he and himself. He has the chance of going down as one of the best Blazers of all time if he stays. And his chances of winning here as long as everything stays the same is just as great as it is anywhere. I believe that.

I love what this says about LMA.

I'd feel better about our playoff chances if he had the surgery. But I also get that with so many key players out and hurt at the same time the playoffs themselves could be in jeopardy.

So which players, in addition to Chris Paul, are going to purposely crack on LaMarcus' hand?

Tyson Chandler and half the Rockets players.

I'm trying to remember who was purposely crashing into Batum's bad shoulder after his surgery. Maybe it was Chandler?

If nothing else, it seems like this is giving a jolt of morale to the team.

Wow, this is stunning news! Just a few days ago, they announced he was gonna be out six weeks. It's mind-boggling how quickly things turn. Hopefully this turns out to be the right decision for the Blazers and for LaMarcus in the long run. But yeah, it's great of Aldridge to man up and put his health, both physical and financial, on the line for the good of the team. A very impressive display of commitment to the direction this organization is heading.

No one can call him a pussy ever again!

I don't like it. I know the Blazers have a tough schedule and it's going to be hard to keep and get back in to a top 4 spot in the west if we should lose it. If this was a playoff game I could see why this call would be made but it's just another regular season game. Seems to me like the Blazers are kind of already pushing the panic button trying to stay in the top 4 but if it works out then good for them!

Well for heavens sake they should absolutely only do what you like!

I also wonder how all this may effect, if it does at all, how his free agency would have gone and how it will go.

Crash wouldn't be the correct verb. Batum was about to shoot a free throw and Amare walked into him with his elbow while "adjusting his glasses".

Hmmm...I feel we've been here before...what was that guy's name....?

Bill something.

Whatever happened to him?

he lead the Blazers to a title. I like what you're thinkin!

That's to many question marks for such a silly question. What he said was he doesn't shoot with it.
Is it silly, or is basketball only played at one end of the court?

I hear that the Blazers medical staff have come up with a protective brace sporting metal spikes to discourage that practice. ;)

It is if you're name's Hardflop, or Amar'e.

Can we trust the Blazers medical staff?
I don't think you can trust them BGD...they' ve tapped your phone and put cameras all around your home. It's just a matter of time before they go all Tania Harding on you

Sounds like the last 48 hours have been good to LMA. Props to him for trying it out himself and really leading by example..

I was also wondering about the "risk not worth the reward" he said the other night. And sounds like that Boston loss definitely had some influence.

I had forgotten that one. I Remember another gratuitous hit during live action. May have also been Amare. Thanks for finding it.
