If I had several employers vying for my service, I'd want to hear what they all had to offer. Why shouldn't LaMarcus? I hope he chooses to stay in Portland (and STOP claiming you know his thought process, you don't, I don't, twitterers don't, fake journalists don't) but if another employer offers him a better job, he should say no? They keep telling us it's a business. Every time a team dumps a loved player we hear it's a business, don't get mad, just the way it is. Well, doesn't that go both ways?
I'm hardly in LA's situation but I am seeking new employment and my employer knows it. They had a chance to keep me but screwed it up so I honestly don't care if my departure inconveniences anyone. I'm not saying the Blazers screwed up LA but he may genuinely feel another job is better for him. So we should tell him tough shit, stay in your old job?
Either it's a business or it's not. If it is, LA is being businesslike to compare all options.
