You guys be the judge. [video=youtube;HMgi4F4q-gs]

I'm surprised they didn't review this. I think LA slapped the ball before it hit the backboard.

You also have to remember that the officials had to make that call real time..... not with slow-mo. Too close to call.

Exactly - so instead he made up the call. Scott Foster was 45 feet away on on the wrong side of the basket to make that call.

the official who made the call was at half court. That in itself is inexcusable

You don't make calls like that with the game on the line. Must be nice having Kevin Durant and all.

I didn't realize that this was a reviewable call until I read that Aldridge asked them to review it and they said No.

When it happened live I screamed GOALTENDNG. After looking at all 8 of our angles in slowmo, over and over and over, it was still a tough call to make. I'm just saying, real speed it looked like goaltending. I can't blame the refs on this one.

It's NOT reviewable. The refs couldn't and didn't look at the replays.

So what plays are reviewable? And were you responsible for that zoom-in on the naked toes of the blonde sideline reporter at halftime? Yeh, that's right, they showed that on NBA.com!

Flagrant fouls or not
Fights
Clear Path
3 pointer or not
Clock scenarios
Last 2 minutes of game or O.T. who the ball went out off of.

There is an official list out there, but those are the major situations.

And you don't make that call at the end of a game. If it had been the other way around, I assure you they would have not called Durant for goal tending.

You might be right. Tie usually goes to the offensive player though.

So in a game of 1 on 1 with The HCP....... you'd get all the calls?

Even if the league calls it a clean block nothing happens correct?

I've never seen them overturn a win, so no... it doesn't matter. Besides, Durant is the new golden boy and the Thunder are the new darlings.

Have you people never watched the NBA before?

This is how it is.

The "Superstars" get the calls.

If you don't like it, watch another sport/league. :stirthepot:

You give the home team the benefit of the doubt. Especially when your making the call from halfcourt and the other refs near the play didn't call it.

This happens in OKC it never gets called.

I'm willing to bet that home court made very little difference, and it was actually the player on the other team that made all the difference. If it had been Aldridge driving and Durant blocking the shot, I guarantee it would not have been called and the block would have made Sportscenter.

Then you are as blind as Scott Foster, and like him should not be making that call. Just because you also have poor judgment does not mean the ref didn't steal that game with either inept or rigged interpretation of the rules.

I"m getting tired of pro sports man. The refs decide too many games with BS calls. And they always seem to whip it out during big games, like the playoffs. What is further aggrevating is how they are beyond reprouch. In the NFL and NBA you are find for critisizing them. I think that everything should be reviewable. Especially with how it's come out that refs bet on games.

The call was close for sure. It's tough to blame the refs that have to call it in real time, when people on here are talking about watching it over and over in slow motion and still aren't sure. if the team played better they would have won. I am beginning to think we are just not that good.

It's not tough - there's a reason Scott Foster was implicated in the previous gambling case. It was either inept or crooked.

The refs got it wrong ... and then the Blazers completely fell apart. So you can blame the refs or the utter lack of execution in crunch time that led to the refs having an opportunity to decide the game.
