Friend of mine saw this in his neighborhood and sent me this pic. I think this is the style we want to go with. He said these people planted this last year. Clumping, non wandering.

Get these in 10 ft starts..put them in good soil, bark mulch..they'll solve your problem...I clone them every year and start a new hedge ..my son's are 25ft tall all around his back yard. They love Oregon weather..arborvitae trees

Holy crap, that seems a little extreme. I was thinking of something much smaller and cuter and well controlled. However, if you are hell bent on screening out the world, go for it.

Can’t believe you haven’t thought of the “highest” quality solution to this problem:

Okay, how did you get up there.

I use to climb a lot of trees when I was a kid. Kind of an active little boy, a bit like Tom Sawyer. My problem was always, How do I get down?

A street around the corner from me and where my 2 best friends grew up on was a long block that went at an angle down to Halsey street and there was a laurel hedge pretty much the full length of the street and we mastered the art of climbing the full length through the hedge. We spent hours climbing through that hedge
