<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The New York Knicks will begin working out draft prospects on Monday, though it isn't clear what role - if any_ Larry Brown will have.

Brown's status as coach of the team has been the subject of speculation since reports surfaced over the weekend that Knicks owner James Dolan wanted to buy out the remainder of his contract after one season.

Brown has been recovering from recent surgery, and his first chance to get back to work would be Monday at the team's training center in Greenburgh, N.Y.

The Knicks announced Friday that senior forwards Bobby Jones of Washington, David Noel of North Carolina, Kelly Whitney of Seton Hall, and Leonardo DiPacce Dos Santos of Brazil are scheduled to work out.

Brown's agent, Joe Glass, said Brown was healthy enough to take part, and expected that he would.

"I assume so," Glass said. "I haven't discussed that with him but I assume if they're going to work players out, that's where he's going to be."

Asked if there was any reason Brown wouldn't want to attend, Glass said, "I don't think there would be. I can't envision that at all."
