Yeah, thinking about moving home. I wandered through a homeless camp next to my shop looking for a tool stolen out of a car this weekend.

So, I walked into this enpty lot unarmed and found people sleeping during the day. Looked around and there was shit everywhere, literally and figuratively. Saw a guy sleeping with a kitchen knife next to him and retreated.

I returned with the steel pipe handle of my Morgan Knocker and was going to do a grid search. The first big pile of trash I come to my ratchet is laying on the ground with nobody around.

I grab it and go, apparently someone who lives across the street saw me walk in with a big pipe and called the cops. This place is falling apart.

It can't be as bad as Seattle. I went there with my father and some folks from our 9er Faithful fanclub in December when the 9ers got blown out by Seattle, and the place was horrifying. I have NEVER seen so much homelessness in my life. I grew up in the Bay Area, I've been to New York and DC....but none of those places compares to the homeless population I saw in Seattle. They are fucking EVERYWHERE, and so is the trash and pollution. I've never seen a bigger homeless population in my life.

Obviously, I have my opinions about who's responsible for it....judging by which political party runs this state.....

Vegas and the Raiders, huh? That should be as successful as the Yorks moving the 9ers to Santa Clara.

Which is to say....it won't be successful at all. No fanbase there, and tickets are going to be priced out of the average person's income. Which means it will become a corporate whore stadium for techie douchebags who are more concerned with their IPhones than watching the game.

I completely disagree. The Raiders will be enormously successful in Vegas. There is demand for NFL football in every city and the population in Vegas has grown substantially over the last 20 years. It will be the marquee game for any fan to take a "road trip" as well.

As for the homeless... I think Portland has more per capita than Seattle. Just my opinion though.

Boy it sure didn't work out for the 9ers, and they only moved 60 miles.

Every casino is going to have at least one skybox. We have maybe 6 companies in the Portland metro area that could afford or would buy NFL skyboxes. It's all about those corporate dollars which Vegas will have no problems attracting.
 
As a die hard Raiders fan my entire life, i could not be any happier they are moving to vegas. I hit up vegas 2 or so times a year, and will likely schedule my trips around football season now so i can catch a game.
 
Raiders are going to have some amazing cheerleaders and halftime shows.

Probably nothing is worse as East Hastings in Vancouver. LA is shittier than Seattle.

I would say Venice Beach Ca has the most natural homeless people population. Man ... they could have elected a councilman.
 
Cities should never provide public funding. Make the billionaires build their own stadiums.

So increase taxes so the people can pay for a Billionaire's Stadium? That can't be the only way they're paying for it but if it is it's still fucked up.

Why is it fucked up? Vegas has a tourist based economy. A large domed stadium brings more tourists to fill the hotels and attend events. It's worth it to Vegas to get tourists to pay for their stadium.

Also they will now get the Super Bowl every 5 years.

It's fucked up because the billionaire can afford to pay for his own damn Stadium and doesn't need any Public Funding. The very second people start to understand that billionaires will pay for their own shit.

These 1%ers need to tighten their belts and pay for their own stuff. They should take their own advice and stay within their budget.
