Watching this? Just about to the point where the Blazers take Bowie instead of Jordan. Always fun memory.

Also,

Barack Obama "Former Chicago Resident."
Bill Clinton "Former Arkansas Governor"

lmao

When is the documentary on Sam Bowie coming out?

Loved that state farm commercial

I’ve been watching.

krause was a dick. Pippen was under appreciated. Jordan was the pimp I remember him being.

That was epic. Terrific direction and story building, and the background music is perfect. Love the way they're doing this timeline with anecdotes from 97 that are only supported by a chronological look at his career from the start. can't wait for next week

MJ scored 63 in a game his sophomore year playing a #1 seed in the playoffs and one of the greatest teams in history, the 86 Celtics.

And he didn't attempt a single 3 in that game.

Im kind of surprised so many people are into this. Nothing about this sounds even slightly interesting to me, and I used to be a big Jordan fan.

It's a documentary about arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. How is it hard to see why people would care?
Did portland fans forget they didn't draft him and he owned their best team in the last 40 years?:dunno:

Of course not. But the 90’s were great. I had a great time. I think we could have beaten the Bulls in 91. We choked against the Lakers in the WCF. Duck was horrible.

Don't blame Duck. Everyone had a hand in us losing that series.

Cliff fumbled the pass on a 3-on-1 break with a minute left in G6 that would've put us up for good.

Porter missed a wide open 17-ft jump shot to win G6.

Coach didn't stop the bleeding fast enough in the 4th quarter of G1.

We get blown out in G3 and G4 in LA, an arena we won 2 out of 3 times in the regular season.

And many others.

I also recall reading in the "Jordan Rules" that the Chicago coaching staff took notice of Portland's strategy for bringing the double team to the Lakers' bigs on the baseline side late in that series and they saw the success it had and implemented it in their 4-1 Finals win, so the Blazers did start to put it back together but it wasn't fast enough.

I do agree we beat the Bulls in 91. We were 2-0 against Chicago in the regular season and our core was at their collective peak.

Are you not a fan of:
Documentaries
90's NBA
Michael Jordan
All of the above?

I hated the Bulls, don't consider myself a MJ fan, but I love the opportunity to look behind the curtain on topics. In normal times, I'd probably be watching Game 3 between Maimi vs Indiana, which I would promptly forget about 2 weeks later. In this era of no live sports, watching this for 2 hours was a no-brainer.

We lost the series in game 1 at home. Divac kept poking the ball away from Duck and we didn’t adjust. Home court was everything against the Lakers.

Depends on the doc, 90’s nba was pretty good and MJ was the goat.

This era of no live sports was weird for a few weeks but I dont really miss sports at this point. Its actually been kind of nice.

Duck was such a weak link. If it wasn’t for a 5ft ugly jumper from the baseline he was pretty trash. Thankfully Buck Williams came on board. But a little too late.

Duckworth was so soft.

that crossover on Bird was epic. Bet that didn’t happen to often to Bird in his career.

Didn't help that Adelman was horrible at adjustments, especially when the team was choking away big leads in games (game 1 against the Lakers and game 6 against the Bulls in 92).
