Last night doesn't bother me

Last I read he was a limited participant in practice this last Wednesday and is getting closer to a return.

After I posted this I finally watched some of the Afflalo video, and noticed #19 also on the court behind him... so that's good as well. No idea what he was doing, but I saw him.

Blue...Oh Blue...Mr. 32, Why are you so 'blue'?

Yeah I had a few last night. Was a little down about that loss. I mean come on. It IS a big deal when our two All*'s can't do jack against that kind of team. We should be taking those EZ opportunities not squandering them....

Lillard went 7-15 for 19 points, 4 boards and 2 assists. That's jack?

Really? You couldn't spell easy out but you could spell out "opportunities" and "squandering"?

On the topic, though. The game was just a crap shoot. Gobert is gonna be a beast in a couple of years when he puts it all together. I'm not worried about that game. If this was late march, maybe. But we have 20+ games to go, we can still rectify this.

The trade was Thursday. The game was Friday. They didn't even ONE full day to digest it.

I don't think the trade had anything to do with this loss. OKC still won and they made a big trade. Perkins may not have played much but he was still a really big part to the OKC team chemistry

Or they played better because they didn't have the distraction of Reggie Jackson? I mean, I can throw out random stuff too!

The thing I keep hearing from some and I don't believe it is "They are not that good". But when you see how they performed the other night. Just how HARD they have to work sometimes to get their victories. It makes you wonder. That maybe fans like you and me. The basketball experts of this organization are just slightly off on how we see them. If you look at what happened the other night. Nic...once again, NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. LA being humbled and BLOCKED on two different occassions. Dame who had to WORK just to get a palatable line. There are times I do wonder. That maybe I'm off on them.

My feeling is that how hard they have to work is by their own choice and not necessarily of how good they are. That they are as good as I think they are. They just an immature group that plays with the game at times. That's my opinion. That's me giving them the benefit of the doubt. What I would like this group to do is to go out show why there are so many out there who believe in them. Including a GM who believed in them enough. Who thinks they are so close that he made a deadline deal to put the team over the top.

We haven't seen it from this group in a while. It's been awhile since we seen a DOMINANT, substantial win streak.

So show us boys. Give us reason to believe you are as good as most of us think you are. I still believe you are. QUIT PLAYING WITH THE GAME!

The Blazers don't have a player in the top 20 of free throw attempts. Because we don't have dudes that can manufacture points during dry spellls, their offense doesn't have a lot to fall back on when the 3-pointers aren't falling. The trade helped a bit, but they still have too many question marks.

I just have no idea how our offense has gone from really good to so-so. Everything feels so clogged and sloppy. No ball movement, no open spots. Players even look afraid to shoot. We take way too many shots with like 2-4 seconds left on the shot clock. It's like we are turning into nate ball.

That's not the kind of line I expect from a superstar! ;-) but yes I get your point. Like I said, I had a few and was pulling a kingspeed. My apologies el-capi-tan

Somebody needs to credit the Jazz for outplaying us. We didn't throw the game, they won it. Credit where credit is due. I used to hate when Lakers fans would talk about how they lost to us when we kicked their butts but give us no credit for beating them. I'll say we were outplayed and leave it at that. Melo is a superstar, he's on a losing team. Cousins is a superstar, he got crushed last night. This shit happens all the time.

The game bothered the hell out of me. No excuse to come out that flat and to be that intimidated by Gobert.

Very true. However, the Jazz are one of the few teams in the league where if we show up, we win. Yes, they outplayed us. Yes, Stotts got outcoached. However, the gap between our talent levels is so big there really is no excuse to lose to that team. None.
