How come no one (at least that I can see) has made a thread about Obamas coffee salute?

It has been debated all over my Facebook, I can tell you that.

Where is PapaG when you don't really need him?

Because it's bullshit small-ball. It's the newest, shiniest object.

I prefer to pay attention to the important things.

someone alert the media, maxie and I agree on something! :)

totally agree actually, while yeah, it's kind of bush league (no pun), it's really not a big deal. Yeah, it'd be nice if he could salute "correctly", but come on...there are other things that should be talked about instead. It trivializes things, imho.

oddly, I didn't hear about it until I heard about people complaining about people complaining about it. And am super happy about that.

If he would have said "binders of women," it would dominate the news and we wouldn't be hearing about Syria and Iraq.

Just sayin'

Binders of women was hilarious because it was something people could grasp onto to make the argument that Romney was actually a conehead space alien. No human talks like he did.

Sure. But it got the media's attention over things that actually mattered. Like the Arab Spring, death of an ambassador, high unemployment rate, and so on.

I'd salute you for that, maxie, but I have a Diet Pepsi in my hand...

And for payback the secret service let a crazy guy inside the White House. Obama better start saluting correctly or...

I always find that the people who focus on these types of things are generally just blind Obama haters. There are plenty of real reasons to be critical of the administration, but when you convolute your criticism with this crap it all just comes off as waaaaa waaaaa waaaaaa, and it makes me suspicious of your real motivations.
