Layman to T-Wolves

I really liked Jake, so bummed to see him go, but I am sure there is a reason for that - good luck Jake - hope this does not come to bite Portland in the rear.

Seems like we could have paid Jake this. I really thought he was on the rise.
Yeah I don't understand. Less than $4M per year and we send him to another team in the division for apparently nothing. It's a bad move unless we're using it to make something else happen (which is what I'm guessing).

Smart move again. The last thing Olshey wants is an end of the bench wing player on a multi year contract. Use the open slot for a vet big or PG on a one year contract, and retain maximum flexibility for next summer.

Good luck to Layman. He’s a good kid with reasonable talent, but he’s not right for the Blazers at this point in time.

So we can afford 2.6 mil to Anthony Toliver who is a hundred years old but we can't afford to pay Jake 3.8 mil ?!

Why are you guys so happy about this? Jake might not be best player in the league, but for that money? a tall athletic guy who scores in double figures every other night?

so the question is... are we better than last year team?

Gosh, look who can't take a joke.

It sure seems the trend is get guys on 1 year deals. It makes since with role players.
I could actually see Leonard signing a one year deal or two with an option with Raptors.

Talent wise definitely, but we have to do it on the floor still, but I like what Olshey has done to fill in the blanks and build this roster.

Think he's a friend of Nurks & the new guy..
