I really liked Jake, so bummed to see him go, but I am sure there is a reason for that - good luck Jake - hope this does not come to bite Portland in the rear.

Well they were Portland 2.0 before Brooklyn was Portland 3.0!Meant Minny
Seems like we could have paid Jake this. I really thought he was on the rise.
His numbers last year say otherwise bra bra

If we did just get a TPE back it’s like “Trade-Only Cap Space.” Can’t sign someone with an exception. But you can use the TPE for anyone 3.7M (if that’s the TPE #) or below.
Yeah I don't understand. Less than $4M per year and we send him to another team in the division for apparently nothing. It's a bad move unless we're using it to make something else happen (which is what I'm guessing).Seems like we could have paid Jake this. I really thought he was on the rise.
I believe @Scalma had a list of Bartlestein clients.
YuckHere's a link to Bartlestein and his players and their contracts. All agents are listed there with players contracts they represent as well.

Easily lolso the question is... are we better than last year team?
It sure seems the trend is get guys on 1 year deals. It makes since with role players.Smart move again. The last thing Olshey wants is an end of the bench wing player on a multi year contract. Use the open slot for a vet big or PG on a one year contract, and retain maximum flexibility for next summer.
Good luck to Layman. He’s a good kid with reasonable talent, but he’s not right for the Blazers at this point in time.
