OT Leaving Neverland

The deniers and victim blamers online are crazy. I don't know how you can support MJ (really even before this documentary) after seeing this. If a grown man ever asks to have one of my kids to sleep over in his house/room, I'm throwing punches.
When I was a little boy about five, we lived next door to an elderly very religious couple who wanted my younger brother and I to spend the night at their house. My parents said okay. They spent most of their time telling us how to live including not listening to music on the radio. Now, the radio was my life blood listening to Boston Blackie, the Shadow, Superman and the Lone Ranger (this was before tv) so I knew something wasn't right.
Then much later when I was about 13 a really nice Mormon from Idaho invited my brother and I to visit with him and his wife for a couple weeks. Again, no hanky panky and he was very nice to me and my brother. His brother owned a dairy farm and he would drop us off there and we would ride horses and squish cow pies between our toes with their son. We had a good time out there with some very nice people.
Would I allow my children to do that? I'd be very very careful and probably say no to most requests. But, it some instances I could see allowing it.

Staying the night at someone's house is a little different request. Did they specifically ask if your kids could stay in the adults room/bed with them? (That's what was being asked to the parents in this doc.)

It wasn't my kids, it was me.
Sleep in their bed? God, no. Them's fightin' words.
Okay, maybe their wife but not the man.

Those people are pathetic excuses for human beings.

I tried to come up with a clean way to say this without being obvious, but I can't. So I'll just say that there is a post in this very thread that is exactly that. Basically accusing someone of being in support of that behavior. Even if it's done in "jest" or as a "character", it's pathetic and telling.

So I say it again, fuck that post and anything and everything that post stands for.

Sorry, I worded my message wrong, meant you. The parents in this doc were faced with the question if their kid could stay in MJ's room and knew they were sleeping in his bed...them's fightin' words is right!

But these parents got wined and dined and even one family got a house from MJ.

Some of them, from what I read/saw, allowed him to sleep in the same bed as their own child, in their own houses.

squish cow pies between our toes with their son.

That reminds me of a story. Once night many decades ago I was driving home and came across a drunk, barefoot friend of mine who had gotten his car stuck in the ditch. He wanted me to pull him out but all I had was a set of jumper cables, and I was sober enough to know that would never work, even though he wanted to try it. So we walked to the nearest farm to see if the farmer had a tractor that could do the job. On the way up the long, paved drive to the house in the moonlight, he was stepping on the dark round spots on the drive because he said the pavement was softer there.

LOL
I thought for a moment you were gonna say you friend was a traveling salesman and the farmer had a daughter.

Fuck posts who lie about strangers, saying that they know things they obviously can’t know.

What's Michael Jackson's favorite nursery rhyme?

Little boy blew

My cousin was so ugly as a kid when he took a visit to Neverland ranch he slept in his own room

Growing up Bo Derek was the perfect 10.......except to Michael Jackson. He thought the perfect 10 were two 5 year olds

Did anyone ever check if Michael Jackson may have died of food poisoning? I know he swallowed 12 year nuts and 13 year old wieners.

What do Neil Armstrong and Michael Jackson have in common?

Well, Neil Armstrong WALKED on the MOON, and of course Michael Jackson fucked kids.

Fuck posts who lie about strangers, saying that they know things they obviously can’t know.

the irony of you saying that is rich.

I stand by what I said, because unlike you, I actually know what I'm talking about when it comes to this because I've seen proof. But go ahead and die on the hill of defending Michael Jackson as not a pedophile.

One thing that needs to be mentioned is that both men in the series tried to sue the Jackson estate years ago, and the cases were dismissed.

They claim to have no financial interest in this whole thing, but I can guarantee that book deals and fees for speaking are in the works. I still think it's awfully easy to attack someone who is dead and is unable to defend themselves.

I never witnessed OJ Simpson's murder of his wife and her visitor but yet I'm pretty damn sure of what happened. By the way, their heads were severed to the point that they were held to their bodies by a flap of skin.

So you think his son did it too?

The only reason why he isn't in prison is because the police fucked up the investigation.

Michael Jackson was investigated heavily. He had his day in court. These guys also tried to sue his estate and lost. What more do you want?

He had his day in court, which was thrown out only due to statute of limitations not because he was innocent.

Civil court is much easier to get a win (see OJ case).

If there was ample evidence, why was their civil case thrown out?

I'm guessing it had something to do with the millions he settled out of court.

What gave you the idea to come up with a retort like that?
Does this mean you think OJ was innocent? I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

OJ was found not guilty.

You said you were pretty darn sure what happened. His son is the obvious choice

I'm not talking about the Brown's. I used OJ's case as an example of how civil cases are easier to get a victory. He wasn't convicted of a criminal charge, but was found against in civil court.

So if it's easier to get a civil victory, why were these two men denied in civil court?

I don't know or care about the case you are talking about, but there are lots of reasons one can lose a civil case even if the underlying facts are on your side.
You could have shitty lawyers. The judge/jury could be biased. The judge/jury could misunderstand the evidence or the jury instructions. You could wait too long to file the suit. You could lose on a 'technicality'.

But it's so easy to get a conviction in the court of public opinion, especially in our current "me too" society. Truth doesn't matter. Fairness doesn't matter. Just one person coming out and telling a story. That's all it takes. Doesn't need facts. Doesn't need evidence. That's all it takes to ruin someone's career or legacy.

I don't like it. Michael Jackson might have been guilty. I don't know. I just think it's easy for a couple guys to come out after he's dead and tell whatever they want and try to make money.
