Why do we have police? I mean, you can carry their gun, walk down any street, any state, “defend” anyones property, and when you make someone angry, just kill them. Go home, move on. Easy peasy.

Huh

I’m saying he believes the jury has spoken and that’s the end. As do I. Case closed. Doesn’t mean I like it. Get off your high horse Jesus

moved on quite a ways i see….

i see it because im up on that high horse. Lol.

should that video have been allowed in court?

Yes.

It goes to show his character

It's relevant. It should have been allowed

But his buddy the Judge wasn't about to let that happen.

Eh... Video just shows kids will say stuff. Ive heard lots of kids say they'd shoot people, or kill people, or kill themselves... They are infinitely more likely not to follow through with it than to do it...

Most kids say something like that at one point or another and it doesn't change the facts of the case.

Yeah, but he actually went and shot people. But, hey kids will be kids

I assure you I said some stupid things in my teens but never that.

There should be evidence of the testimony at Julius Jones' trial. If he had an alibi that wasn't heard then he should get a retrial.

And if the alibi is the most concrete evidence he should be freed and be made financially whole.

Absolutely.

So, after a teenager says they'd harm somebody, how often do you think that actually leads to them doing it within weeks? What percent of threats do you think are followed through with?

I'm guessing less than 5%... Maybe less than 1%...

Yeah im out for a bit. This place is gonan get even so polarizing because of the inability for some to have a conversatio with someone they dont agree with.
But yet make snide comments on a daily basis…

Fricken lunatics gonna run rampant this weekend and its no different in S2.

Have fun cutting each other down over opinions. Done with that shit. Lol.

I’m not sure you’re making the point you think you are unsurprisingly

oh my point was made just fine for those with enough self observation to get it.
Apparently you are not one of those people.
Have fun continuing your rants that you moved on from.
Not wasting my time with such hypocrisy anymore.
Have at it man…

And that's why it should have been included as evidence

Why? If there is no correlation or causation it can only serve to introduce bias.

I'm not 100% opposed to it being introduced as evidence, but I also see the argument against it.

*Edit* Eh... Still... I don't see how it helps anything. It doesn't change the fact that he was being attacked when he fired the first shot.

Everything after that was just unfortunate. And I think everybody involved has had their lives destroyed enough to not want to go through it again.

Well hopefully he doesn't walk around with an assault rifle anymore

Got a call from my son warning me to avoid social media. Apparently, the wingnut fever swamp is already openly crowing about now having a license to hunt lefties. SMH. Nothing good is going to come from this verdict.

This is what I was talking about.
