You know there’s a video of what happened right? Wasn’t sure if you knew there’s actual video of him being chased down by like ten people before being knocked to the ground and attacked. One of them had a gun pointed at him. Based on your awful takes I wasn’t sure if you had seen it or not. Sounds like you haven’t.
No I’ve seen it. The video of the teenager who now we know two weeks prior said he wanted to get his AR and go kill people who then went to a protest and killed people. Fucking dolts.

Sounds like a reason to lock him up. Oh wait. The prosecution couldn't produce enough evidence to convict. Oh well. Lets still lock him up just because.

We all think Kyle is a dumbass. Doesn't mean you use emotions to lock someone up. Many lawyers are even saying they got this one right.

Doesn’t matter what he said or when he said it. His life was threatened in that moment and he acted in self defense to stop the threat. Now he’s not the one dead or injured, that’s how shit works. Pretty sure he was there for quite some time, armed, and managed to not shoot anyone until attacked, so your “just showed up and wanted to waste some people” mass shooter scenario is just emotional, made up bullshit. If you attack a person who’s visibly armed you might get shot. Crazy, I know.

Also, you know a randomly selected jury handed down this judgement, right? (Insert Republican here) didn’t walk in and let him off the hook, or whatever delirious scenario you are imagining.

Guy was a felon. Wasn't supposed to have a gun. Also illegal to try and take one on a and. But, yeah civilians shouldn't be carrying guns around an airport at all.

Lanny stop blaming guns for human choices. The gun is just an object. It takes a human decision to pull the trigger. But to address your point,

i disagree.. people who want to kill will find a way. Guns aren't the issue. Mental instability is…

quadruple homicide right here. Not a gun used.

Poisen gas is just an object, an atomic bomb is just an object, a 50 cal machine gun is just an object, an RPG rifle is just an object. All just objects so what's to fear?

Gun control state by state is virtually worthless. Only national gun control has any chance of making an impact.
But no national gun control has ever made a more positive impact than has been made without gun control. In any country. Ever.

But those objects aren't commonly owned items and as such, they aren't part of our culture and heritage.

This is no different than saying we should just make all knives illegal as well.

Guns have far more practical uses for the average American than the weapons you mentioned.

You gotta be kidding me. This is sick.

See @Orion Bailey this is what I was talking about.

Hero to the right

They are going to name a Federal Holiday after him.

Jesus

a tweet calling for it and it actually coming to be are far from the same.

With that said, that would be completely ridiculous. As ridiculous as that stupid tweet. No one was a hero. Everyone lost.

Remember when you used to read Maris’ posts? Me neither

Nonsense, I gave you the Australia link earlier that directly disputes this claim.

And I replied with a link showing the US had a larger drop in violent crime and murder rates over almost the same time frame while doubling the number of guns and expanding access to guns.

Your interpretation of correlation does not indicate causation.

Nearly all western countries experienced drops in violent crime and murder rates between the mid 90s and 2008.

More for the totally normal pile

But that's really the prosecution's fault... There was far more evidence to support self defense than anything else.

It could have been handled much better...

And in reality, the people who want him convicted in spite of that are just proving why gun rights advocates aren't willing to budge on gun rights, but would rather expand them.

There will be no law ever made in the US which will reduce the number of guns in this country.

It's a political fantasy. An absolute waste of time and money.

Unfortunately the efforts to advance gun control will only give Republicans more closely contested victories...
