LBJ is 32 now. How good will he be at 36 and 30 mill a year?

Sorry. That's what i'm talking about. ;)

Zach can be on this team for the next two decades. That's long term planning. Just sayin.

At 36 he will be Karl Malone. I'll take that and 4 MORE years after.

Ummm...

You're worried about LeBron at 36, but think Zach will still be a valuable contributor at 40???

BNM

WRONG! Beta is Lillard's domain because your standard beta machine can easily be used as a 4 track mixer.

Pulllease... if you knew anything about music, he just uses a Mic and he has his boys mixing on im sure a 48 channel mixer at min.

I think you are mixed up on the mixers.

A 36yr old Lebron would still be at the very least the 2nd best player on the Blazers.

Sure, at $30 mill or so. Id rather stick with the plan/process.

Now if we could get him without giving away our future/core of Dame/CJ/Nurk/Collins, im down.

Yeah, it triggers a lower hard cap.

If he wanted to come here, he'd opt-in and trade.

There is no such thing as a lower hard cap. There is the actual salary cap but a hard cap means you can't go over for any reason, even if you use exceptions or bird rights. All other circumstances this summer the Blazers could pay whatever they wanted to their free agents, use the Trade Exceptions, and the tax-MLE.

They do NOT want to be hard capped.

If Lebron came here and I have no illusion that he would, it won't be for 4 years IMO. The city would not hold his interest for that long. But if he did, a 36 year old Lebron would still be good. His skills will not deteriorate much, and his body is unlike anyone's we have seen before. So he could pull it off. He works his ass off in staying in shape.

I would be happy with 2 years of LBJ, but yeah 4 would be even better. But no way in hell he moves his family there. Not with 2 current mansions in Brentwood sitting there.

You're not making sense.

Bro... have you ever been to Cleveland?? I have, and yes it SUCKS. Yes we have a better nightlife than they do.

Lebron already knows portland. He spends time there in the offseason (because of Nike) and has mentioned before how he always has good games when he visits because it’s a “home away from home.” That’s a literal quote. Someone with more care can go fact check that one if they want.

I am comparing Portland to Brentwood CA, not Cleveland OH. He just bought a brand new 23 million dollar home there and he has one other right by it. I am sure Portland would be great for 2 years, but 4 years? I just don't see it.

And yes I have been to Cleveland for work numerous times. It might suck for us, but it is home to he and his family.

If LeBron wanted to force his way to Portland (and I cannot imagine that he would), we would not have to give up Dame, CJ, Nurk, or Collins. And maybe not Ed. Because if we did, he would no longer want to come here. I'd protect those 5, and put everyone else and every available draft pick on the table.
