I haven't been around these parts lately as some of you have noticed. About a month ago, I was rushed to the hospital with flu like symptoms, come to find out my colon needed to be removed immediately. I had a severe case or ulcerative collaitis and my whole colon needed to be removed. 5 days later there was a twist in my intestine and I needed to undergo another emergency surgery. Needless to say, I spent 28 days in the hospital and I'm finally home. Life is boring, I have a wound vac (a high tech contraption) to heal my the large gash that I have in my stomach. I also have an ileostomy bag that I have to drain all my fluids out of. My life is basically a living hell right now. Coming from someone who worked out 5 days a week with heavy weights and was in great shape, I'm not a boney 130lbs.
The good news is that the can do reconstructive surgery once my stomach wound heals and I'm able to put the weight back on. Putting weight on is hard right now though, because my stomach will only allow me so much food before it gets full. The reconstructive surgery, however will get me back to normal and I'll be able to live life like I did before.
I just thought I'd give you guys a heads up on what I've been up to the past month or so.
Be sure and send and prayers and good luck my way. Looking forward to posting with you guys in the future.
