WellastheJBBguyswillknow(especiallyFresh, lol)IhateLil'Waynesmusicwithapassion, however, after reading over that topic about the backwards lyrics in Lil' Waynes music, I decided to check out "I Feel Like Dying" for myself, andlordbehold,Iactuallydontmindthesong,Iactuallythinkitsquiteclever/haunting.So...I'mgivingWeezyasecondchance,andhereswhereyouguyscomein.Basically,justrecommendmesomesongstocheckout from him, his GOOD songs.Iwantsomthingthatisnt"Ishotthisnigga50timeswhileIgotheadoffsomechickenheadbitch,andIgotmillionsofdollars!!".

Letsseeyourrecommendations!

My rec? You're making a mistake, Lil Wayne sucks.

Check out "I feel like dying", if he has more material like that, then I want to hear it, because thats a quality song. Especially since I can relate to it.

I would probably start with Da Drough 3 or Dedication 2. If you want just a song, check out Georgia Bush.

Never really been his to his music. Always preffered More Fiddy and Kanye style

Personally I feel that Lil Wayne doesn't suck...I actually prefer his earlier style more than his new one, but I've never thought the guy just flat out "sucked"...BUT he is still overrated somewhat.

Lupe = mediocre...Mos Def = used to be great, but now sucks...Talib = used to be great, but is mediocre over the past few years.

everyone has their owns opinions, Lupe is the next big thing in mainstream...Mos Def is still great..Talib is great..loved Eardrum!

Lil Wayne is awesome. I don't know what's up with all of you, but Weezy brings it

Lol @ Lupe being the future of anything.

And Wayne's inconsistent, but when he's good, I don't see how any hip hop fan can deny him.

You lose for typing favorite the un-American way. Damn Aussies :-)

I recommend you check out the rest of the Justus League if you're looking for new music. I have just become privy to Median's solo work, and have been a fan of Legacy for some time now.

Guys, if its Justus League / Wu-Tang / D.I.T.C / Living Legends / Likwit Connection etc. etc. related, I'm already listening to it, or heard it.I thought this was a simple question,RECOMENDMESOMEDECENTLIL'WAYNETRACKS, I'm not looking for new Hip-Hop to check out, I want to check out some decent(inyouropinion) Lil' Wayne tracks. I dont want to know what you think I should be listening to, because like I said I'm already listening to it. I've been a Hip-Hop enthusiast for close to 8 years now, so I'm well on top of whats good, and what isnt.

...so then why are you listening to Lil' Wayne?

great question.

don't buy into all the hype, please. might as well go out and get the TI album while you're at it, too.

lol that picture i class. Just listened to Weezy and he aint half bad but i still prefer others e.g. Papoose, Ludacris etc

Man a lot of things can change over a few months, I still like Wayne, but I don't listen to him nearly as much as I used to.

Thats the thing though, I Feel Like Dying is actually a concept song, and Wayne doesn't really have many of them. Some of his best songs are BM JR (its just a really nice punchline song), I Miss My Dogs, Ain't That A Bitch, Hustler Musik, This Is What I Call Her (he kill Lovin' It from 9th Wonder this is on Dedication 2)...

But Wayne's strength isn't really in his overall song making ablility, its more of in his punchlines.

I told you already! I'll listen to anything and everything Rap/Hip-Hop related. Geez, what the hell is wrong with you people? I ask for recommendations from one artist I dont even like, and you make out like its the only thing I listen to.

Hustler Musik has a reversed message too. It's about him killing some girl. In the actual song, he says,

‘I aint never killed nobody I promise
And I promise if you try me you gon
Have to rewind this track, and make it go back'

He also says, ‘Anybody murderer if birdman sponsor it'. Well if you play the song backwards, he supposedly says,
'A girl died from my knife, it was september run her meat albini' at that part.

Then later in the song, he says, 'New Orleans now, see now reaper its mercy now, the deamons, (…) oh they fear satan eh, yes' and then it just keeps saying 'PLAY IT BACK, PLAY IT BACK, PLAY IT BACK BABY'

Most conspiracy theories, reverse lyrics, and such are usually BS. You shouldn't post something like that until you check out your sources.

I don't know if journalistic integrity should be that high a priority for a Lil Wayne thread. I mean....its Lil Wayne we're talking about. I don't know if annotated bibliographies should be the norm for 'superhead' threads either.
