What the hell is Lillard doing out there? He seems to have totally lost his mojo. Matthews is shooting lights out and diving all over the floor, Batum is making big plays and getting big boards, Williams is pushing and looking for his shot . . . but Lillard is just bringing the ball down and passing it off as soon as possible. He didn't even seem to care that Curry was raining all over us the whole night.

Our point guard was almost invisible tonight, and it's been happening more frequently lately. Lillard better rediscover his game ASAP, because we're going to need him in the playoffs.

I have a feeling he'll wake up for the playoffs. He's been in a funk since that game in LA. But if there's one guy I don't worry about for picking up his intensity when needed, it's Dame.

Yeah, but this was a huge game and he didn't even seem interested!!!

It's been going on all season. Coaches have him burning his energy on attempted defense. Since he's so tired, Batum brings it downcourt half the time. So who's really the PG?

Mo was our best player tonight.

Dame seems to get pumped up, so I'm hoping the playoffs really get him going, but prepare yourselves for a shitty playoffs with Beverley draped all over him.

For my money, Wes was our best player tonight. Mo was excellent though.
It's funny, the one game where most people probably wouldn't have minded Mo playing more......

He only gets 21 minutes.

I am so glad to see Mo rounding into form as we're coming down the stretch.

Hmmm. Are you saying Mo guarded their Centers tonight?

Matthews' box score is merely adequate, so to make him the best player of the game, his defense would have to be great.

Mo's box score per minute was the Blazers' best tonight, so he doesn't need great defense to win Blazers' MVP of the game.

Happens all the time. After Mo vastly outplays Lilliard, Mo sits the 4th quarter while Lilliard fails to take the glory.

That last play pissed me off. We were up 1 with the ball, like 25 secs on the game clock, and Mark Jackon's stupidity on full display when they weren't stopping the clock with a foul. And Dame decides to drive into the trees with 13 on the clock. Got fouled fortunately but missed a crucial FT. Even Stotts called him out in the postgame interview saying Dame went way too early. Not sure where his head is these days, but you can really tell how inexperienced he is sometimes.

We never noticed this last year when our games didn't matter at the end of the year.

The POR players made Stotts look like a dolt tonight when in reality this was probably one of his top 5 best coached games this season. He was screaming over and over for POR to foul at the end of regulation before that desperation 3 went in as well.

Lillard was investing a lot of energy on defense, their outside players played great and it was an opportunity for Lillard where he has to guard a very good player. I think it's essential for Lillard to become a better defender, he's making a progress and it's obvious he tries hard to figure it out. Today he got a little frustrated, also because Curry/Thompson/Iggy were all hitting shots. We still won the game and I think the lesson is to continue to do his best on defense but also to not get frustrated. If Lillard can become even just an average defender it would make him and the team that much better. The most important thing is to keep trying and to not get frustrated.

ARe you kidding? Lillard was relating for his teammates down the stretch. It was a 2 man between Dame and LMA thatled to LMA hitting the go ahead basket. Dame knew he wasn't shooting well so he didn't force it. He JUST had a 4th quarter during the last game where he hit 4 threes. Dame is FINE. He's a team player. Does what we need to win. If he averages 9 ppg and we sweep Houston, I will be fine with that. It's a team game.

That Lillard blocked a WHITE HOT Klay Thompson is picking it up plenty for me. He did what he needed to do after making some nasty mistakes in the first half.

I thought Lillard did fine. Mo carried us.

This team isn't Lebron and everyone else. We have more than one... we got the win, that's all I care about.

Haha!

He's playing the same game he's played all season. You're now used to it, that's what's changed.

Lillard has looked like crap the past two games. I have no explanation from what I have seem. He is just plain not getting it done.

The Blazers won both games. :dunno: Nice to see you "back," too. This fucking place...

Even if he is expending a lot of energy on defense, Curry scored 47 and Thompson scored 25. We need a whole lot better defense than that if we are to expect to not rely on his 21 points and 5.6 assists per game. As with Lillard, I'm sure we can always rely on those 2.38 turnovers.

Uh ok. Beat a team by 9 that they should have schooled and barely beat the other last game. Really strange response.

First off, this thread is a complete joke and should be deleted.. But that's not going to happen so....

Every team in the NBA can play. Jazz have some talent. In case you missed it the Heat have lost to the hawks on Saturday. I guess that proves my point right there. A team they should "school" as you put it. But the opposite happens and they lose.

But the bottom line is this thread is a joke, and the NBA isn't a video game.
