He obviously isn't going to sign there, but this was such a huge embarrassment to the Lakers and LMA is being blamed for hurting their chances to get anyone to sign. So granting a second meeting, then talking highly of them afterwards takes a stain off LMA's name too.

I remember there was a time when we said it was Dames team now but every move has been centered around Lamarcus. Everything has been about keeping him happy. I don't know how Lamarcus was raised but Damian obviously loves Portland for taking him from such a small school and believing in him. He loves the underdog role. I think he sees that in Portland so much. We have so much pride but have always been the underdogs and counted out.
