Surprised no one made a topic on this yet. Listened to most of the songs on the album and wasn't particular impressed. A couple songs I like off the album are Bleed it Out, Given Up, What I've Done, No More Sorrow. A lot of their new stuff is more...softer. Anyone else have any opinions on the new album, if any one listens to Linkin Park.

I heard it sucked. My friend is buying it and he will let me borrow it so I can check it out anyway.

I am actually a fan of Linkin Park...and I will say this album was not good. Their music is getting softer and I just didn't enjoy it as much as their work in the past. Just my opinion.

Mostly because I'm comparing it to Hybrid Theory and Meteora which where absolutely phenomenal. I'm a big fan and I'll listen to probably half the album for a while, but overall I'm still enjoying the old Linkin Park.

I think Hybrid Theory is the only record to even own of LP.

Not a huge fan of LP, but I heard the album is good so I might pick it up. I like their single.

I like this new linkin park, I hate when bands just sound the same every cd, so I like this change in their music, metora sucked complete ass so they needed a change, and they made a good change with this cd........ still not as good as hybrid theory even though you can't really compare the albums, but 3847493857934857943 times better then that sh*t meteora..........

I really liked Meteora and thought it was a lot better than Minutes to Midnight. All good songs from that album: Somewhere I Belong, Lying from You, Breaking the Habit, Numb, etc. As a fan, how can you not like that album?

I thought Meteora was awesome. Meteora and Hybrid Theory are so much better then Minutes to Midnight. Whatever, its hard to live up to such great albums.

I've always been a big Linkin Park fan. My friend got me hooked on Hybrid Theory about 3 months before it took off and became a mega-hit. Nothing Linkin Park will do will ever be as good as Hybrid Theory was. Meteora was still an above average album but obviously not as good as Hybrid Theory. I'm going to buy the new album and judge it a little later....

Agreed with the last few posts, I can't see how you though Meteora sucked. It's not as good as hybrid theory but still an awesome album. Kept me hooked for a while. Minutes to Midnight isn't as good as either album. They had me into every track, and only about half of the songs on M2M.

I really like the songs on this one. I downloaded them all on my Zen.

DTP loves Linkin Park he has went to like every concert they played near MI.

minutes to midnight isn't as good in a sense cause they don't have that same sound, so if you expect that old sound then you will be hugely disappointed, but I had read up on the album before hand and they said it will sound nothing like their old stuff, so I expected a new direction which is why I like it, if I hadn't heard that it was gonna be a different sound, I probably wouldn't like it as much cause I would've been expecting something differentfor me I didn't like meteora mainly cause it didn't live up to hybrid theory, and I know it's hard to do that, but it bored me, yeah it has some very good songs on it, but I expected more out of it, so that's why imo it sucks...... and which is why imo minutes to midnight is better cause I got everything I expected and that's a whole new sound which I love, I don't mind the softer side, and that song giving up is the sh*t, probably my favorite song they've done

its a real nice cd, different from the others (obviously..) but, LP surprisingly has done that transformation real well.

ive listened to it for like 2 weeks. I really really like it. its different, but its awesome.

I actually bought the CD since I'm not an ***hole and I like this band. All the songs are great, I like the first song, wake, pretty well but they're all good.

Catchy, up beat, good to listen too.I think every single song from Hybrid Theory and Meteora is good actually.Figure.09 is a personal favorite that I don't think alot of people have heard.

Just got done listening to it. Overall it's pretty dissapointing. 'What I've Done' is the only hit song on this CD, 'Bleed it Out' and 'Hands Held High' were the only other songs I thought were remotely interesting. The rest of it was 'bleh' and too slow/mellow. This album just lacked an edge, not many catchy songs on it either. Very dissapointed.

I like all the songs. My favorite songs are 'Leave out all the rest' and 'Bleed it out'.

There's a few of the slower songs I like too, because sometimes I'm a fan of that style. Overall though I was also disappointed.

I like the whole halloween tune in the beginning of minutes to midnight, but without mike shinoda rhyming, it sorta sucks..

I think it's alright. It's definitely different. I would rather have something different than something the same, a la Nickleback. I just can't stand when a musical act can't grow and just stays the same. Nickleback is the worst example, but there are dozens of other examples.
