and if roy was healthy, the suns would probably have lost in the first round. The Suns didn't make the playoffs last season. This year, they're three victories away from the WCF.
C'mon, Paul Allen. Make the necessary changes and get us a championship in 2011!

Can you imagine all the hand-wringing by Suns fans last year? I bet some were calling for a complete team overhaul.
We never, not even once, got to see how the actual starting lineup would have played together (Miller,Roy,Batum,LMA,Oden). We can speculate that we aren't/are good enough to make it to the finals. Tell we actually see how that lineup plays its all speculation. I doubt any one of those five is gone in the summer so we should be able to see it at some time next year baring injuries of course.
This Blazers probably aren't "little adjustments" away from a finals appearance. The Suns still have their two time MVP point guard, their power forward who was probably the second half MVP this year and they went back to the style of play that got them into the WCF in years past, except now they have guys like Jared Dudley and Amundson who give them energy and defense (along with Dudley's dead-eye shooting) and they don't have Shaq clogging the paint and getting in Amare's way.
That said, I hope KP, Allen and whomever else is in charge of such decisions, tries to make the "big adjusments" to get this team on track to an NBA finals appearance ... I'm not exactly sure what that is, but my guess is that it's not simply a matter of getting Oden to stay healthy and re-adding Blake and Outlaw; this team needs more -- a lot more.

And yet no one in this forum had the Suns finishing with the 3rd seed this season. Almost everyone in here had the Suns missing the playoffs again or, at best, getting a 7th seed. The word around the league was that the Suns were too old and their time had passed. NOW, you're saying it all makes sense, "of course they were going to be good!" Honestly, what were you saying about the Suns back in October?
Your Kobe as ET avatar is awesome
but what little adjustments did they make? or did they just luck into playing an injured portland team in the playoffs?Exactly. And they DIDNT make a complete overhaul, thus, the title of this thread.
Hijacked from the interwebs.
