ANd here we go. She just got her first offer from a school.
Western Washington has offered her a FULL RIDE + $3000 living expenses. WW is the number one D2 womens soccer program/school. We are very excited about this for two reasons….it’s her FIRST offer and it’s a FULL RIDE.
Womens soccer is not like mens football and basketball where they hand out full rides. They have 15 scholarships a season to spread out over usually a roster of 28. So we were informed and when I did my research, as a freshman if you get a 1/4 scholarship, you should be excited.
Now this is a D2 school and we’ve been told she is a D1 level player.
So this is a very interesting situation. She has a ZOOM with University of SF and Pepperdine this weekend….. I can absolutely guarantee IF they want my daughter to come play for them, it will NOT be a full ride……..

ALOT of stuff to figure out.

Hopefully she can use this offer to leverage a strong offer from a D1 school. Assuming she wants to of course. From the highlights you've shared she sure looks like D1 talent to me.

Call with USF tonight went well. They really like her and say she is their top recruit and only forward they are recruiting in the class of 23. Having her down for an official visit in a few weeks and are ready to make an offer. We visited that campus at thanksgiving and it’s amazing. The wife and I would much rather she attend college in SF than Stockton at Pacific.

Perhaps, @crandc might then be able to have her over for milk and cookies?

Another nice game with a quick goal today in a win over a team from Boise. Kid is looking good. Heading up to Western Washington for an official visit Wednesday and Thursday and then a quick visit at Seattle U on Friday.

What does she want to study in college?

Very cool opportunity for the kid this weekend. She was selected to play in a friendly match against the youth US National Team!

Interesting. Looks like they’re older than the national team. They should have a good chance at winning!
Yeah, they are the same age as my daughter. National team is training here at NIKE for a week. So they wouldn’t let the National team play my daughter’s same age team, I’m sure they’d get crushed. So they added some older kids from her club. Pretty normal to do it this way.

On a side note, when my daughter was an 8th grader, she made the National Region 4 team. US split into 4 regions. So had she stayed in that program, who knows. Was just too much traveling at such a young age, on top of her normal teams travel schedule.

Daughter had her visit up here at Western Washington today. Amazing facilities. First class soccer program.

WW coach said he understands my daughter is entertaining offers or interest from other schools and is willing to wait to get her answer on weather to commit there or not. Fantastic guy!!! Great visit!

Just got home. Stopped by for a visit and some training at Seattle U. What a beautiful campus right in the heart of town. Had no clue it was there.

She played very well in front of the coaches. She has a call with SU set for Monday. Hoping she receives an offer.

She had two good league games in Colorado last weekend.
Seattle U head coach is coming down to watch her game tomorrow. First time she’ll see her in person. Her assistants have seen her a few times.
Seattle U knows my daughter has an offer already from Western Washington….. both schools had a spring game Tuesday night. Seattle U lead assistant sends my daughter video of all 4 goals they scored against them! Thought that was kinda funny.

Next weekend, big visit to U of San Francisco. Hopefully this all gets wrapped up soon. Very stressful.

Friend of hers just signed with UW. She saw his post about committing and I think she wants one done like this for her.

Kind of exciting for a 16 year old.8FD7B025-C031-4EC7-B8F5-E3E439376B24.jpeg
