First pair of Nikes were from a shoe store from Lloyd Center. I remember in the 4th grade my feet were already the same size as my dad's, lol. By the 6th grade, I was taller than him.

Went to Holy Redeemer, I think we got my school clothes from Russell's, but I remember my mom got me some wide-leg salt and pepper corduroy pants. Those were fucking badass.

I remember there was only one white guy on Holy Redemers basketball team when we played them at the St Therese tournament and I think it was Matt Santangelo

We never went that far out. I think my parents occasionally went to a Kmart out there but I stayed in the car in case someone I knew was in the store
Ya the KMart on Sandy. You would have been the flyest guy in there.

They had an awesome card store close called Hoopla.

There was a Chinese restaurant on the corner of Union Ave and Dekum. We went there a lot because the owners went to our church. Farrell's for birthdays. And there was a Mexican restaurant on Killingsworth that we would go to because we could get Cuban food there.

1. ORGAN GRINDER
2. FONG CHONG
3. FLAKEY JAKES

My dad was the branch manager of the US Bank on the corner of Union and Killingsworth. There used to be a bunch of used car dealerships on Union, the bank handled all their flooring lines. One of the dealers needed a favor from the bank, wanted to loan out their cars for an "event." My dad agreed to it under one condition...

And that's the time my dad pulled me out of school and took me to have lunch with Evel Knievel. The car dealer was providing the cars he jumped in the MC. My dad only agreed to sign off if I could meet him, lol. My dad was and still is cool as shit! One of the greatest days ever as a kid. Also got tickets to see the jump.

Stereo King, 82nd ave.

They had the big ads in the WW right? I think I've been there, but didn't like. I went to Car Stereo City by Mall 205 for mine. Then Cartronics. I went to Outrageous Audio, it looked fucking shitty in there so I bought a T-shirt and that's it.

Back in the day it was Car Toys on Janzen Beach for me ... are they even still around?

Not sure if they are around. I went to the one on Canyon Road in Beaverton a few times.

I heard the Cracker Barrel in Janzten Beach closed because of homeless problems.

Got’s some soccer mom type drama going on. My daughter’s club team recently broke away from the mothership up in Seattle and rebranded and renamed. Their parent club is probably the most respected club on the west coast. Very established, tons of players go onto play college/Team USA.
Well, all conference selections just came out and a few of our players including THEHCPJr should have easily made 1st team and didn’t.
Hearing the club changes were the reasons. Whatever, we are so proud of her regardless.

Her conference includes 23 teams from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Cali. She was the leading goal scorer and made the 2nd team.
