if he said that at his first press conference it would have been incredibly stupid and I would have had serious reservations, and this is from someone who does not at all want Caleb as the head coach, he handled those questions very nicely, is the fact that we haven't had a GM for so long making you not inderstand how they are supposed to handle a situation like this?

I don't care how he talks. I want to see him make some good moves before anointing him. I suppose his kind of demeanor is good for trade negotiations, though.

Yes you do. When your owners says "get rid of 12M in salary" and he says "it'll take a draft pick that the LEAGUE SAYS WE CANNOT PROTECT" and Sterling says "do it", you do it.

Stepien Rules didn't allow them to protect that pick, so they didn't have a choice. That pick also only had a 2% percent of winning the lottery that year.
