Aldridge doesn't have to stay quiet. Aldridge can say whatever he wants. He can say he plans to stay in Portland.

True. And i am not convinced that he will be back. But as i said this morning....FA has not started and he wants to be courted. He has earned that. There is a lot of smoke, no doubt, but he should not have to respond to it. And per Neil, he is surprised by it. All very confusing.

I one of the biggest homers and do think LMA says but to play devils advocate for a minute, Olshey didn't say LMA was coming back and LMA didn't say he wasn't going to look elsewhere. All they both said is he didn't make up his mind either way yet. So it is hope for sure but also not a sign he is staying necessarily.

But what it does tell us is the sources are full of shit! 99.9% sure he leaves my ass. Some exec saying Aldridge has already informed the Blazers he's leaving?! I bet those insider feel stupid now.

I think he's been waiting to see what Olshey does before he decides. This was the summer Olshey was talking up for a few years. He's obviously clearing up cap space...I think LMA is waiting to see what happens before he decides. If we make the right moves..this could very well be his best chance at a championship.

What I get out of it is LMA is saying improve the team and I probably come back. Don't improve the team (even more then today and yesterday) then I might bolt. I think that is a valid request too.

I'd personally go after Hibbert. I think Jordan's an EXCELLENT defender and a good dunker, but I think his offensive numbers are inflated from having CP3.

Plus I think Hibbert would actually want to be in Portland. He has good low post moves, but no longer in him prime.

Jordan is going to enter his prime in this contract though.

It would partially be cheap because we would be using already contracted players to obtain him. Signing Jordan would mean we really wouldn't have the players to fill our roster

I thought LA played with a lot of heart and passion right up until the playoffs. And still think his teammate or mates had more to do with his decline. That one teammate is now gone.

It amazes me how quickly people forget that. He didn't have to do that--he would've still commanded the same free agent market. I respect him for playing through that injury.
