2nd straight selection. Nice.

Now let's trade him for younger players and draft picks.

It's all about the rebuild, yo!

Oh and I hope this stops the ridiculous thoughts of trading away Aldridge in hopes of spending the next six years in lotto hell.

How's the lotto worked out for cavs, wolves, kings, pistons, raptors?

Haven't you been paying attention? The Lakers are proving that having all stars on your team doesn't mean you'll win games.

Great, meh, meh, Pretty good, meh.

I'm happy for LaMarcus.

I'm surprised that Rubio didn't make the ASG (on a serious note, will Rubio make the rookie game?)

Jason Quick ‏@jwquick LaMarcus Aldridge's $250,000 bonus for making the 2013 All-Star Game is actually low by NBA standards. Many bonuses are in the $500K range

To be fair, there are some coaches that I wouldn't trust picking a team for me.

Speaking of people we wouldn't want picking our team, hi Nate. Out of curiousity did Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Ben Gordon make the all-star team?

Or when zags wanted to draft the stash? He believes Aldridge shouldn't have made it either

Congratulations to LMA!

And he just might know what the fans say, Mags. Since I emailed Stotts and HCP the treatise investigating if/why he was playing so inefficiently, here's the result:

His orb% went from 4.9% in his first 15 games to 7.8% in his last 25.
His "close and dunk" shots went from 18% of his shots in his first 15 to 30% of his shots in his last 25--still below his LaMonster years, but a huge jump in efficiency.
Coincidentally? ;) His true shooting% went from 47% in his first 15 games to 55% in his last 25.
His ppg went from 18.8 in his first 15 to 21.8 in his last 25.
His outside/inside/FT ppg splits went from 10.9/4.1/3.8 to 10.8/6.7/4.3. (LaMonster 2011 was 10.3/7.8/4.3, by comparison)

IMHO, I think that if LMA was still shooting 82% of his shots as jumpers, making 42% of them for a 18.8/7.8 average, he wouldn't be an All-Star. Awesome to see him step up his game!
