LaMarcus Aldridge would like to be moved from multiple sources I have spoken with but Blazers will get a large sum for him.
@probballdraft

Honestly it is going to come sooner or later Im sure. I say we try and get as many young pieces/picks as we can and start building this team around Lillard.

Ill wait for a more credible source to come out with it before I believe it.

Wouldn't it be something if Oden and aldridge ended up in Cleveland with Kylie Irving. Would be crazy!!!!!!

And heeeeeeeeeere we go! LA is the type of no flash player that you won't realize how much he meant to us til he's gone. Prepare yourselves.....

All anyone has to do is look how damn lost and bad the Blazers looked in every game LA missed last year.

No kidding. I'll be sure to remind everyone when what we get back sucks and LA is the top PF in the league while on a deep playoff run. Then posters calling for the trade suddenly ask why we rub in it when LA is getting dat chedda.

The report is that he wants out and now its the fans fault?

Nothing anything you or I can do about it.

He's not being chased out. The team had the worst luck of any team that I can remember in a span of 4 years. That stunted the growth and set this team back years.

Adding a Gortat won't vault this team into a contender. Tony Allen won't either, etc. The Blazers are clearly a ways away. I can see why LMA would want out. And I can see why Neil would shop him.

Its the same link that says Zach Randolph has impending federal dog fighting and drug charges and we better trade him fast

You know the more I think about it I'm thinking that LaMarcus Aldridge wants to go to the LA Clippers. He lives in Los Angeles area actually Orange County and is best friends with Jamal Crawford. The thing with aldridge is he's closer in age to the core of the Clippers vs Blake Griffin who is a lot younger. I'm wondering if olshey is trying to get Blake in Portland to go with Lillard. That would be a exciting combination for sure while giving the LA Clippers a better veteran to compete for an NBA title. Doc Rivers would do amazing things with LaMarcus Aldridge in that system

They're setting up their cap to net two max-type players.

And his family. Don't forget that tiny detail.

He lives in OC. Clippers ready to contend now and he is just starting his peak. Blake is a good highlight reel but LA would be better.

LMA for Blake would make sense basketball wise, but once you factor in what a marketing juggernaut Blake Griffin is and how many viewers/asses in seats he contributes to a franchise, he gets elevated to a whole nother level trade-value wise. I don't think the Blazers could swing a trade for Griffin unless they made it a three-way trade and involved Lillard, and even then, it's doubtful that Griffin would resign with Portland.

Thats the zinger. But he just signed a 5 year last summer. But then again any player we trade for could bolt as well.

Curious though, why would ya'll want Griffin in the first place? He's trying to develop his mid-range game to the point that it's hurting his original one-dimensional, yet effective game that was solely based on his strength and explosiveness. His rebounding has dipped as a result, his athleticism will eventually fade, he still doesn't have much of a back-to-the-basket game, and as much as he's improved as a mid-range shooter, he's still ineffective in that role.

Really, his career trajectory is on the downswing, whereas his trade value is unreasonably high because of his marketability. I'd rather try to pull a sign-and-trade for one of the Utah bigs, if I were shopping LMA.

I'd rather have Blake Griffin of course because I don't want to fall asleep while watching basketball. Although I do think he is very overrated and very one dimensional it'll be fun having a power dunker on the team though.

Also if I'm giving up a 20 point per game player in his prime, I want one back not a guy who's going to score 10 points one game.15 the next then have a string of single digit games

I'm with this idea. If were going to suck (and if we trade LMA for Griffin we are in a lot worse shape) I'd enjoy watching a team throw down highlight real after highlight reel. Then after were a 20 win team and get Wiggins next year draft Griffin before people realize he is overrated.

If you want entertainment, then why not just bring J-Will out of retirement, sign Birdman to an overpaid deal, and draft D.J. Stephens?

I understand your frustration (I mean, my Grizz have been shit for 10 out of our 12 years), but trading for Griffin? C'mon... that'd just fuck you over in the long run, and again, it would probably be a deal involving Lillard, not LMA.

Clippers already will have cp3 resigned. If they want a ring....LA is a much better option than Blake. .. but Blake sells the jerseys.

And trading for low impact players will have the same effect... but will suck to watch because the dunkage will be less

LMA might be a better fit, but when considering all the options LAC would have if they actually decided to move Griffin, LMA's got to be pretty low on that totem poll.

LAC could make a push for Love, Horford, or Lopez, and acquire decent future assets in the process, or they could even throw in some picks of their own and make a run at someone someone like Westbrook or Harden. I just don't see that deal happening unless it's a deal involving Lillard, and because LAC doesn't need a PG, they'd have to bring in a third (or fourth) party to facilitate.

Rumor was Blake felt a little jilted by the Clippers, with them apparently shopping him and pieces for Dwight.

Could force his way out - and LMA could be the best offer.

Not a huge Blake fan, but it instantly makes Portland a more marketable team. Lillard/Batum/Griffin.

I'm also not as low on Blake as some around here are. Shot better from the field than LMA and got to the FT line more. LMAs never even sniffed Blakes rebounding rate, and Blake got better as a defender.
