IF this is true, what a mess. Take a moment and try and find a reasonable trade that addresses needs. There really arent any star caliber SG besides Harden and he aint going anywhere. And there really arent any realistic C's that are equivalent to the production and caliber that we would be giving up in LMA. Which may mean that we have to trade for young and potential and start again.
About the best I can come up with is this and I have no idea if either team would be interested. The point is Im beginning to wonder if we can get the value now LMA or is there more value in waiting or just using the cap space when the time comes.

I hope this all just BS and we can make enough changes that allow us to take the steps that allow us to keep LMA. It would be nice to actually win with the core we have built and been rooting for for the last few years. I guess the question is no matter how much some of us like (or dont like) LMA can we win with this core upgraded?
Trading for #1, #19 and Thompson would be nice
Trading for Asik, Motiejunas and Robinson would be nice
Trading for Ibaka, Lamb, Jones III and #12 would be nice
Trading for Gortat, Markief Morris and #5 would be nice
As for needs, they are simple. Portland needs an influx of talent in a major way. Trading Aldridge, who is an extremely good complimentary player, for 1-2 complimentary players and 1-2 shots at landing a stud makes sense. It' sa gamble, but winning takes gambling. The Heat gambled and won with Lebron.
It doesnt seem like any of those leave us with enough scoring and we sure as hell dont play defense.
With our center history, if we get Noel, we will be the laughing stock of the league. Deservedy so.
if he gets traded, i want it to be a no brainer 100% win for the blazers
or else why bother
Three pages of LMA angst over some tweet from a site I've never heard of before? Some threads just leave you feeling stupider for having read them. This is one of those.

So you guys clicked on the link right? You saw the source? And there still is a 3 page thread already?
Wow.

You keep cheering these kinds or posts. What exactly is it we should all be talking about? Should we only talk about things after the fact? Only things from the Blazers? Should we close the fucking forum down and ban people for wanting to talk about the potential players on this team next year until they are actually here?
Calm Down Captain Crabby Pants!

why would someone care what other people want to talk about?
maybe half the forum wants to talk about dan dickau, or theo ratliff, or paul allens yacht... is there a problem with that?
Allen's yachts are overrated
dickau slays ass
ratliff was a legend
the worlds biggest yachts are difficult to overrate

Over at Hoopsworld, @stevekylerNBA notes interest in Aldridge is from teams asking, not Portland offering http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-am-let-the-trade-rumors-begin …
Let's see, there's a nine page thread on "LA gone before or draft day", one on "blazers reject LMA for Cle two first round picks", and this one on "LMA wants out?" I don't see that anybody is being restricted on their ability to float ideas about Aldridge being moved. The only reason I posted what I did on this one is that the source being quoted is so fricking flimsy it's comical.
I totally get that many of you think that the best way to improve the team is to move Aldridge this summer. It's a reasonable position and I think it's only natural that we talk about it here. That said, building threads out of the thinnest of rumors is pretty silly, IMO. NateBishop said in one post that where there's smoke there's fire. Well, the pioneers used to burn dried buffalo dung for campfires when there wasn't any other fuel, which just goes to prove that you can get plenty of smoke out of pure bullshit.

this post MM? Or will you bully me?
Truth.
Its seems the Blazers are fielding more calls than they are making on Aldridge, so it’s becoming clear that there is a trade market for LaMarcus if the Blazers want it. The questions is do they really want to move Aldridge or are teams trying to poach away one of Portland’s best players?
