Kahn points out that "it was not lost on McMillan" that out of four picks in the top 14 in three years before this year, the Sonics drafted four white players (Robert Swift, Nick Collison, Luke Ridnour, and Vladimir Radmanovic).

No worse than drafting Saer Sene or Johan Petro. At least Swifty has that Opie Taylor meets goth serial killer freak vibe going on.

That quote doesn't prove Nate is racist, just observant. And, remember the Sonics GM at the time was Wally Walker. So, be careful not to confuse gross incompetance with rasicm. Wally drafted plenty of shitty black guys, too. And while they may not have been great picks, at least the four white guys mentioned in the article are all still on NBA rosters. I'm not defending Walker's drafting record (it sucks), just saying the white dudes he picked were no worse than the black guys he drafted.
