LOL wow. Go ahead Toronto. Spend that much on him.

I still say trade Rudy. He just proved that he is a crybaby and if shit doesn't go his way he will act like a little bitch.

Welcome to my ignore list. These posts are retarded.

You should ignore me, too, because I agree 100% with that post.

Rudy is overrated. Trade him.

Regardless of whether we sign Hedo or not.

You know, Kobe Bryant did the same thing. Think the Lakers really regret that they held on to that "little bitch"?

It's the real world, not a YMCA pickup game. Millions of dollars and a guy's career is at stake. I really don't begrudge somebody making such complaints IN THE OFFSEASON at a time when lots of players get shuffled around.

Assuming, of course, it's true. And I've yet to see any real proof that it is.

The shit isnt even proven to be true, yet people are on the boards here calling him a "crybaby" and "whiner".

F'n drama queens. Go back to your oxygen and lifetime movies.

Something about this screams of KP duping Colangelo so that he (BC) stays away from the guy KP really wanted.

Gordon, perhaps?

Why would Toronto spend so much money on a SF and then trade their PG?

Ed O.
Good point. Just trying to think how we could leverage it maybe something like this...

To New Jersey: Bosh and Blake go to New Jersey waiting for LeBron

From New Jersey: Devin Harris, CDR, Hassel, Najera, Yi

To Toronto: Najera, Jianlian, Fernandez, Bayless, Outlaw

From Toronto: Bosh, Jawai

To Portland: Hassel, Jawai and Devin Harris

From Portland: Blake, Bayless, Fernandez, Outlaw

Toronto does it because they are losing Bosh and the end of the season and need young talent to rebuild.

New Jersey does it because once they move to Brooklyn they want to lure LeBron and Bosh would do that.

Portland does it because we get Harris.

What do you think?

Huh? The guy they went to in crunch time was their 4th best player? Come on RoyToy, don't blindly hate someone.

In a lot of ways, he was their best player. I'd be fine if you said T-2 with Lewis, but even that is hating.

His lack of defense hurts.

You could make a case Nelson is 2nd. He shot 50%, averaged the same pts as Hedo and more asts than Hedo. Hedo is just a really inefficient player.

As nice as it would be to have Hedo, I'd rather use that PT to get Batum and Rudy more minutes (Rudy with Roy especially), and give some to Webster as well. Adding a new starting PG (saying bye to Blake and allowing Bayless the backup minutes), and getting a vet to backup PF are the things that I think are most important this off-season. Obviously, it kind of looks like KP disagrees with me though.

From the article -

However, in order for Toronto to clear enough money to sign Turkoglu to the five-year, $60 million deal, it would have to renounce the contracts of Shawn Marion, Anthony Parker, Carlos Delfino, Patrick O'Bryant and Quincy Douby. The team is leery of taking that path, having that same tactic backfire last season when it created room for the arrival of Jermaine O'Neal.

Don't think they're offering him 60 mil.

Kenny on 95.5 just said that Quick's source was probably Hedo's agent since they just talked to a Toronto beat writer, and he said there's not a big chance of the Raptors renouncing half their team to offer a contract like that to Hedo.

So let's see.

We have RLEC and do shit with it because this summer was all about landing a FA.

The best FA out there according to "experts" might not sign with us. He is the best FA right now because his old team traded for a player we could have had with RLEC.

Sorry, but it will not sit well with me if we do nothing but sign a couple of average players to contracts.

You and your precious turtles can suck it! Hating on a player for something that an anonymous league source said is reeeeetarrrrrrded.

Almost all sources are anonymous. If you want to look at it this way, you might as well stop reading rumors since they are all like this.

Rumors are fine, if not entertaining, until you take them as gospel and go batshit crazy over what could turn out to be nothing.

You would rather the Blazers overpay the guy (by a LARGE extent) instead?

Carter has two years guaranteed on his deal including this coning season. He doesn't have that bad of a contract. He would have helped us tremendously. We more than likely would have gotten passed Houston in the first round also.

I don't care how much kool-aid people are drinking, it would be an epic fail if we don't land a significant upgrade at SF and or PG this off season. We have been told for over a year that RLEC was the Holy Grail of contracts, and we did nothing because supposedly we wanted to be players in FA this summer. To not do anything this summer can not be looked at any other way than a failure.

To be fair MM, you're slightly exaggerating. KP said it was "the best expiring contract in history", not the Chalice of Christ that Gives Eternal Life.

Well, if Toronto did/does offer Hedo $60 million, he'd be a fool not to take it.

However, I call bullshit on this rumor. It means they are letting Marion walk. Hedo isn't that much better than Marion and won't make Toronto a contender, or even a lock to make the play-offs. They have so many holes in their roster and there is a >50% chance Bosh is gone next summer. So, then they are in full rebuilding mode with an overpriced, 32-year old Hedo locked into a long term contract and likely untradeable. Unless Brian Colangelo is brain dead, this so-called "offer" makes absolutely NO sense for Toronto.

Oh so he didn't call it a fake object?:pimp:

The Blazers ended up saving a lot of money by not trading RLEC.

So now we are in a savings mode?

Paul Allen coming out and telling KP to go for it doesn't indicate that we are?

He will have failed if nothing happens period.

I'm just saying that millions were saved by not trading RLEC and letting insurance cover most of it. Millions that help the bottom-line due to the Darius Miles fiasco, which I assume played a role in the lack of a move at the deadline.

So do you think it is better to overpay for a player and end up with a bad contract this summer or do nothing?
