I don't think Ball will be all that great in the NBA but he could beat Gonzaga all by himself.

Sure, then I'd buy his dad an old Lexus sc400 and get him to drive it cross country and sleep on the side of the road.

That's cold as ice... He may be a loudmouth, but he raised amazing kids. Kids any one of you would love to have as your own (Lonzo paid for his own college). Nobody gives him props for that.

Hyperbole.

*MM disappears for several months*

Everyone: I miss MM... I hope he's okay.

*MM returns and is the same MM*

Everyone: Fuckiiiiiiiiiin MM...... Quit being such a whiny victim!

The dude is the same dude that he has always been. He hasn't changed one bit in the many years that has posted here. Either accept him for who he is, or stop lamenting his absence. Just my two cents.

Or we can just lament his return? :dunno:

Saying someone paid for their own college when they had a scholarship is a little weird.

His basketball skill paid for that college did it not?
No, his scholarship did. His basketball skill bought him groceries. Unfortunately in the NBA it won't buy him a jockstrap.

"paid" kind of implies that he paid cash for it. He was able to get his college for free. Many pathetic parents have kids who got scholarships, so Im not sure how that is a selling point for Lavar.

This post is just stupid. I'm sorry. I literally makes no sense.

Well I'm sorry if you didn't understand it. Here, to make up for it I promise not to clown on you too hard for your Lonzo support when he gets trashed his rookie year.

Not if you just read between the lines and stop being so literal...

Are you a parent? I am and I would LOVE it if my child was able to be so smart or so athletic that his college gets paid for. Otherwise, I'M paying because he's going no matter what. Refereeing basketball pays bills for me so yes basketball and the ability to be around basketball pays my bills.

There is nothing to understand. It's incomprehensible...

He earned a scholarship which paid for his school, and his athelete allowance (I'm sure it's high at UCLA like Football at Alabama, UCLA is definitely a bball first school) paid for everything he needed while he was at school. Once he's in the league he's not making jack shit because he is going to flop out after his rookie contract.

You can lead a horse to water...

Just going to say, even if he does flop out after his rookie contract (which is incredibly highly unlikely given his position and skillset, he will make over $33M on that rookie deal alone, so he'll probably be in decent shape.

That's assuming the Lakers draft him at #2 instead of one of the other players they've been working out. I'm not convinced they are taking Ball at 2.

True, good point. Let's pretend he drops to the Knicks at 8 and flames out in New York. He'll still end up with 18.7M. That would still buy him a whole lot of Zo-2's.

You're just another one rooting for him to fail. He's just a kid bro... Fuck his dad (even though by all accounts he did an amazing job raising his highly successful child).

I'm not rooting for him to fail, I just think he sucks and won't fit well in the league. His dads big mouth has nothing to do with how he plays basketball. What is highly successful about him? He played PG on a well balanced UCLA team which played good team basketball. As soon as he went up against real talent on a big stage he showed how incapable he is.
